To me it sounds best to rebuild your current turbo. I usually hear bad things about the DriftMotion turbos from others that have bought them. I originally was going to go with a DM turbo kit but I ended up going with the precision 6262 Sound Performance bolt-on turbo which has been a very nice...
Yes, the are interchangeable. I have a set of 1990 gray 7mgte knock sensors plugged into my 1987 green clipped engine harness which were originally green knock sensors also.
When you did the rewire, did you ground the shielding?
If you are just looking for breaks in the wiring then disconnect the engine harness from the ECU. Then with no power you would check for resistance per wire on the ECU connector pin and on the pin of the connector under the hood you are testing per the wiring diagram.
You should have a small...
You need a wiring diagram and you can use a multi meter to test each pin going into the ECU to the correct connector pin. Dr. Tweak and Yotaconnectors rebuilds harnesses as well.
Yes the threads do come above the block. The OEM head bolt threads are not shown above the block but the ARP head studs do. Here is a picture from my build but keep in mind I have a 2.0 mhg on the block as well and I did clean all my threads with the proper tap. You also have to install the...
Is your fuses good? Does your Supra have a sunroof? I have had a cps go bad with the wires inside the unit shorting out and touching the body of the cps unit causing a no start condition.
Most Supra's don't even use those anymore and most mechanics / shops remove those within the first brake job or two. When you get your new brake pad it should have a metal shim backing on it already and if it still makes noise clean all the the brake caliper surfaces super good and load those...
There is also a few different people that sell that same Chinese intake manifold but with there own private brand label on it just so you are aware when shopping for one.
I have never heard of them before but for a equivalent of $1314 USD you might be better off with BC cams at half the price. If you were to get a set of BC cams just make sure you get one from a newer batch as some of the older cams had alignment issues with the CPS gear on the exhaust cam.
I did this earlier this year as well. Window goes up and down a lot faster that before once both switch contacts were cleaned. I also used some Super Lube synthetic grease as well to help prevent the contacts getting chard. I did all the blend door and temp actuators for the fan as well as those...
Yes it is plug in play and works like it should. I have a 91 climate controller in my 87. The only feature that does not work is the front windshield defrost and floor vent combo button as the 86.5-88 models did not offer that.
