shit, I've gone single TWICE. Well, once single and once non-stock twin turbo. Both times I had to remove the twins while they were in the car. Not fun.
wow, that's odd. I guess I got lucky then since my recaro R came with a clutch type diff ( after I wrecked it I pulled the diff out...definitely clutch type) yet the car was so stock it still had the stock air box when I bought it.
Well, also reminder that I have a very beefy clutch and a Kaaz diff. Some might argue that that is the reason why I don't break shit, but on my old stock clutch (and with stock twins at stock boost) with the only mod I had was a muffler (stock intake box and catalytic converter) did this and...
I engage a drift by feinting, powering over or just simply doing a combination of both. I use clutch kicking to re-engage a drift. It will destroy clutches...but it does work. However, my OS Giken twin plate has taken quite a beating over several YEARS of me using this method. No signs of...
I used to run a PFC on my old RX7 (w/ wideband and datalogit). The Stinger is just as easy (if not easier) to tune, cost less, and has more options (as stated above).
safc will do the trick. If you're feeling fruity, get the stinger4.
Also, don't worry about turning the boost up. The motor (and ecu) will handle 14 psi just fine. To make max power, you'll need some type of fuel controller...but it won't hurt.
No ORC and OS Giken are different. I have personally seen them. However they are VERY good clutches. I have owned OS Giken twin plate B types for over 7 years now. And your right....I won't ever go back to a single plate.
