My mkII is NA so I'll just throw my experience in on this...
Dont waste money staying NA. It's freaking BS and you're throwing good money away for minimal gains. Like $800 and I LOST 3 hp (intake/header)
Thats my advice. The Doug Thorley header and intake REALLY helped with throttle...
In my experiences with fuel pumps, it will stumble/miss out at full throttle, not just stop making power. Never had one go south in a turbo car though.
*edit*
Have you re-checked to verify timing is still set correctly? Do anything to the car to bring this about? (changed plugs, taken...
Not just any mace...
a +3 to BHG mace. I think it was also a +10 to FCO for every pound of boost also. :icon_conf
How's about effin pepper spray then, jason? w/e you wanna call it.
^ same ole shizzle. Just out being my normal non-arsehole self. :icon_bigg
Seriosuly though, swapping 7mgte into an NA chasis is a BREEZE. Hell, I've done it twice. Thats saying a lot. :icon_bigg
If you get the harness/ecu, it'll be just like putting the NA engine back in... but with a little extra weight on the exhaust side. :icon_bigg
If you need help, feel free to PM me, done it a few times.
Your tach wont work... thats the biggest PITA.
How can anyone work on anything without a set or three of these miracle devices? :icon_bigg
Flex heads, a straight set, and a set of mini's and you're good to go. I wouldn't trade my gear wrenches for my Supra.
^ Jeffy, you still want that effin front end conversion? I'll make you a sweeeet deal on it. :icon_smil
Some of the little "grill" things are broken, but it's in otherwise good shape. Like Is aid before, I don't have the marker lights, but you should be able to find a used set fairly...
Check the little wires coming off of the possitive battery cable. I had one that wasn't getting good contact but looked good by glancing at it... Just give them a little tug and see if they come out. It had me stumped for a bit.
