There's no common sense to that statement of yours :nuts: The bypass valve's purpose is to seal off positive (boost) pressure from the accordian hose until it senses a drastic change into vacuum, then it will open, allowing the excess pressure built up from the turbo still compressing the air...

Yes, the egr cooler. The aftermarket gaskets for them are shit and nothing like the genuine Toyota gasket, get the toyota gasket for it if that is indeed what is leaking back there.

You can't have a "boost leak" in a hose that doesn't see positive pressure :nono:

I have one, the vac. ports aren't located exactly in the same positions as the stock accordian hoses are. You will most likely have to get about 6" of rubber hose, cut them into 3 equal lengths, clamp them onto the metal fittings on the stock vac hoses that come out of the accordian hose, and...

Clean out those passages and you'll better be able to tell if you can use the head...
