    92nsx's supra build

Thank you all! Now if I just could get my idle on warm up good I would be happy, but I have a feeling that I will need an EMS. Here is what is happening. On The first start up (temp around 30-40 degrees) the idle is good and high (1500 rpms) for the fast idle.(guessing ISC is open) Once...

Pioneer AVIC-D2 and CDX-P1280 changer, not playing nicely with each other

Well since the supra is up and back on the road it is time to "try" and fix why my Pioneer AVIC- D2 doesn’t see the CDX-P1280 cd changer. On the main menu of AV on the D2 the touch screen will have the m-cd sort of “raised” so you can chose it to play. Well it doesn’t :( But one time random...

no oil pressure on fresh rebuild.....!UPDATED...AGAIN...with pics!

^^ Nice catch, I didnt even look at that. t3d-- glad to hear everthing is all good once again. You didnt want the oil filter mounted there any ways, it would have made a huge mess when changing and covered your DP with oil.

    92nsx's supra build

Well last night I was able to fix the hot water valve. It was a combination of things. Shaft being dirty, and having crusty crap on it, with I clean up with a little emery cloth. Then lubed it up once done. Also replaced the bad VSV with another one I had around. And last found a vacuum...

    92nsx's supra build

Scuba - if you would that would be great. 926 - yep already tried bypassing the vsv. (end of post #117) It still wasn’t enough. I started a thread asking how much vacuum inHg it takes to pull open the valve. I know it more that 12-14 inHg :(...

tons of questions wanna build my 7m right the first time

Who are you proving worng? Many members hare have strong running 7M. Also to make it right the first time, you will need around $6-8k just to build the lower end and the head ;) Start there and let us know when you are finished with that stage of the build.

How much vacuum in/Hg is needed to pull up the hot water valve

I am wondering how much vacuum in/Hg is need to pull up the hot water valve so coolant flows thru the heater core. Mine will not pull up even after bypassing the VSV. Right now I have around 12-14 in/Hg on idle with my 272's. I know it is lower than OEM but is it too low not to open the...

Torpedo heaters or as I call them "nipco" heaters are life savers in the winter time. That is also what I use to heat my garage in the winter. I just run diesel fuel in mine since it is cheaper than kerosene and heats just fine without fouling out the glow plug. Heats my 22' X 22' in no time...
