3 lbs off the stock gauge is 11 or 12 psi, so you should be expecting fuel cut somewhere around there or a little above, depending on what mods your new baby has.
I don't think he meant a reliable "car" persay, more like a reliable engine to put in his Supra that he wants to make more reliable.
With 5-6k, I'd go with the 2jz.
...The knock sensor is for your pistons/rods knocking. Doesn't have anything to do with your drivetrain or anything as far as I know. Does the car still start?
Yeah, might wanna try pushing the button before you take it out... other than that, I guess your Supra's just more of a dick to you than any of ours. And that's pretty bad, what with all the rod knock, BHG, and all the other stuff they try to pull.
+1. I hate 90% of Euro's no matter what they are, but that is freakin SICK. Good luck and throw down a build thread to keep us posted on your progress. Shit, this might as well be stickied as "SM's best sleeper" or somethin.
For now I'll just see what I can do about the knock sensor, but this thread's in my internet favorites cause I'll lookin up the o2 Rockauto part # within the next few weeks. Thanks man.
Thanks for the info. I was getting 10.3 mpg according to the super monitor before, so this might have been one of the contributing factors... running pig rich all the time. My o2 sensor's probably on its way out, too.
So it doesn't affect driveability, but it'll pretty much constantly retard my timing? Yeah I think I'll just order the part or try to find someone with a used one lol.
Does it affect anything driveability-wise? Judging by the fact that it's located under my intake manifold, I'd rather just find one now and not have to deal with it later.
My rear one is somehow broken, and I need to get another one before I can get my car running. I'm in a pretty big hurry to put it back together before the weekend's over, so that's the only reason I posted in the WTB section and this section.
