I seem to remember something from Toyota saying that the back hatch antenna was in fact for FM.. they called it a "Diversity Antenna" and that's pretty much what I've been getting my FM reception on, having little to no standard antenna.. it works pretty well, too.
Sorry to semi-threadjack, but it's related.. I occasionally get an intermittent high-pitched squeaking kind of noise from the driver front/rear when driving straight (Haven't pinpointed it yet) that goes away during a rhs turn. Could this be a bearing as well?
