    1JZ Starter/Cranking Problem

This happens to me a lot. Might be your battery. My battery is old and I occasionally get this problem where the car doesn't wanna turn over but everything else works. I would suggest maybe getting a new battery if yours is getting a bit old?

2J cams in my 1J - after install impressions.

I want to do this exact swap on my 1JZ. Good to know that the boost does drop down a little bit after the swap, this thread has some great information. I also liked how you decided to do the valve stem seals. I never even thought of those to be honest. Mind you I'm gonna be putting in some JDM...

Og giken tr2cd vs clutch masters fx850

I saw your thread on SupraForums. If I had a choice and money was not an option, OS Giken all day everyday.

    1jz power steering

When I had my swap done the shop used a 2J resevoir I think. But it would be easier to do that cause making the 7M reservoir might be a bit difficult as the reservoir sits on the other side of the engine (on the 7M) and bolts up the block. I can upload a picture later on when I get home if you'd...

    1jz head bolts??

Yeah that's what I figured as well. But I was also thinking along the lines of "Why not upgrade to ARP while I have a chance? The bolts are gonna come out anyways."

ideas on building my 1jz on a single

Definitely ditch the stock ECU for a single turbo setup. It's nice to be able to control everything on your engine to make the optimum amount of power at whatever boost level.

    1jz head bolts??

I just checked the ARP Catalogue (which FINALLY downloaded) and it doesn't look like they make them for our cars.

    1jz head bolts??

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm upgrading my camshafts soon and was wondering if anyone knew the thread pattern for the ARP Cam Bolts? (The ones that hold the camshaft caps down) Or are the bolts I'm talking about the same as a 2JZ?

    more cooling needed.

Yeah 2200CFM is not nearly enough especially if you race the car no a track for 30 minutes. You need a LOT more airflow. Like WillWorkFoBoost said, run the Summit Racing ones as pusher fans along with the stock clutch fan and shroud. Should put you well over the 4000CFM range.

    more cooling needed.

The stock clutch fan is by far THE best way to cool your radiator. The only reason new cars have E-Fans all the time is because they are all wrong wheel drive and the engine is mounted in such a way that a mechanical fan will not work. Unless you want to spend some serious money on quality...

    targa top seals

I'm planning on getting new targa seals this year as well. (As well as new hatch seal and tail-light seals) Great to know the tip about the silicone spray though! Definitely gonna tell my buddies about that one.

I want to see a dyno sheet of those upgraded twins with the 440s!

Making the best out of a bad purchase - LS Swap

That is gonna be a monster car. How much power you gonna make you think? Also, those are some of the nicest welds I've ever seen. That CAD work is awesome too, hopefully it fits just as well as the CAD work said it would! Goodluck with the build.

handling? is stiff bad in some casese?

I live in Vancouver, BC and the roads here are pretty bad most of the time. I have H&R Progressive Springs on my car with Tokico Blue struts and they're not all that bad. They're fairly forgiving while driving on the street, and when they need to be stiff (e.g. driving hard through the mountain...

Recomend a brake setup for meeee!

My friend with a 610WHP 2JZ MK3 just recently went from Porterfield R4S with slotted rotors to the ARZ 4-Pot Wilwood kit. He said the difference was astounding and the $1200 he spent on the front kit alone was WELL worth the money.

    RAGE..... I h8 h8ters........

That's nothing a little 2 step can't fix :P On a serious note however, who cares man. People talk all the time about my car especially cause it's on sawblades still. I could care less to be honest. Just cruise, don't pay attention to anyone else, and enjoy your Supra!

Body Repair questions....Rocker Panel Cover Fix? Compression dent repair thoughts?

I want to know about the front fender mud guards as well because my car is starting to do the same thing. I want to somehow repair that if I can. If I can't do it myself, would a paint shop be able to repair it?

    changing fuel pump

I'm scared shitless of doing this job when my stock fuel pump dies. Funny thing though, it just won't die. It just keeps going. Still running the original fuel pump from 1989 (with 300,000KM and counting...FML)

    Clutch for 600+whp

OS Giken makes a triple and a quad plate for the JZA70. You would need to sort out the flywheel with those clutches as they come with 1JZ flywheels but I'm sure you can make it work.

Body Repair questions....Rocker Panel Cover Fix? Compression dent repair thoughts?

Honestly I would just replace the bumper altogether. Better to get a new one and ensure the foam inside is good too cause ours would be weakened by the impacts that our cars have suffered.
