A natural increase in boost? Doubt it. Isn't the stock WG spring about 1.0 bar? If that's so, then damn! you have the best flowing engine in the world, so good infact, that you are getting a little bit more boost than the stock spring is rated at. :sarcasm:
Is your wastegate shimmed?

This sucker doesn't use a diaphram like other pull type BOV's, it uses a piston-type relief, and it's a pull type just like the HKS's. I guess that's why it's so big on the back side. I'm curious as to what's in it. I may buy it, take it appart, and post pics. All the videos I've seen so far...
A good oil to try would be something like Penzoil Plat. 5W-30, fill 1 qt. overfull as added protecting. The MKIII's like to burn about .5 qt. every 3000 miles or so on average. A good oil filter to use would be something like Purolator Pure One, don't cheap out here, don't ever use Fram. I use...
I'll be using two BOV's Ian, one will most likely be this one as I've been discussing what parts come with it from a vendor on and off the past couple of days. The other one will be a Hong Kong style BOV. The synapse synchronic WILL be recir'd as it already comes with the fitting for it. The...
Oh snap! Better watch it Ian, she may take a trip over there to you to get a little bit of that S&M action :naughty:
Better schedule an appointment with her when the wench's away, lol :D
There's a more recent thread on this out there joe that pretty much answers any questions/myths of setting up a catch can, maybe it started last week? I dunno, he can search ;).
~5K with good rods and pistons. This is with head work too.
Kurt, SBC valve spring mod, it's cheap and not quite as stiff as ferrea's, but better than stockers.
I don't see a problem with you selling it for 10K when fixed if you weed out the cheap asses.
I could see you getting `3K in part out, not including the turbo...
Necessary work, don't really know on pricing though:
First, take in the TSRM, pistons, crank, and rods that you will use.
Cylinder hone if your clearances are out of spec for a re-ring job.
Resizing the mains and rods for standard bearings.
Check the clearances on the oil pump drive...
ZOMG! Is that blue I see on your car Ian?!
Eh, you've probably painted it black by now... :D
I'm thinking of doing the synchronic recirculated with a Hong Kong Recirculated as well. I have the two flanges already, just need to plot out where I want them exactly...
