Ok i wasn't sure, I'm supposed to be picking one up in the next week or so and i have a turbo in mind for it but didn't know how strong the bottom end was. But thank you :]
I've been wanting to turbo my 7m for a while now and Ive asked some of the other supra drivers around where I live. Would there be any major issuse, like
I've heard that the pistons slap, and wear out the rods.
This mechanic that my grandfather knows. He was sopposed to specialize in imports. Well i know this is going to sound stupid, but why doesn't my gauge show that the oil is low. Before the cam seal got replaced it had an oil leak, but the gauge showed when it was getting low then.
No I wasnt checking it, because I had no real reason to. It was the first time i've had to change it since I've got it back from the head gasket job. It wasn't smoking or anything and my oil gauge was reading normal. But yea im going to be watching it now.
I blew the head gasket a while back, and got a new one put on, and replaced all the seals and belts. But i changed the oil today, and it didnt have alot of oil in it. My question is if my oil gauge is working properly(which i believe it is) why didn't it show?
Well i wasnt low in coolant until last night but yea the smoke was coming out of the tail pipe. I thought it was the head gasket when i got home but there wasnt any coolant in the oil also it wasnt blue smoke.
I already checked for coolant in the oil because i thought it might be my head gasket. so no coolant in the oil. I actually just changed the oil and filter today. I also watched my oil hand to see if it showed any drop while it was smoking and there was no drop in oil pressure.
