Actually he said it wouldn't work with any of the other cars. Not that it wouldn't plug in. That was me not expressing myself clearly enough.
But I guess we won't know unless he (someone else) gets his hands on another one.
Well I'm no Supra guru.
I was just told by the place where I bought my car that it had traction control.
Then almost loosing the car during acceleration made me doubt that it was working properly.
Now I know for sure that my car doesn't have it.
If there were ever made mkIIIs with...
Well, I'm not driving 300 km to take pictures for you just because you think I'm full of BS.
I'll ask him if he has a few pictures because some guy a Supramania doesn't belive he has that many Supras......
In the meanwhile you can see his place from the outside:
The barn to the...
yeah and the earth is flat...
Anyway some german dude bought the car and there are no pictures. As I said it looked factory and had a different ECU from Toyota.
I think it ends here - for the moment
He says the TC looked original and also the ECU didn't plug into non TC cars.
It also had remote controlled security system. I'll try to find out who bought it. Maybe I can get a picture of it to solve this mystery.
No I don't think so.
The guy has 51 mkIIIs sitting in his shop. He makes a living importing these.
If he says it I belive him. But I'll check with him again....

He says that a few of the last mkIII Supras had traction control.
They had an extra button next to the gear selector.
He has only seen it once (he imports Supras from Germany and Switzerland) and it was a mkIII...
I'm not talking about ABS. I was flooring it. Not using the brakes.
Nevermind the TC for the moment. I'll try ask around here to see if I was misinformed.
But wouldn't a Supra mkIII be able to spin the wheels on dry asphalt if floored hard enough?
I was told by the seller that the car had traction control from the factory and I also asked the local guru here if it was true (he has more than 50 supras) and he said that my car has traction control. He said the late 92's with automatic here were standard with traction control.
I'll ask...
Does anyone know of a way to hook up a lamp or so to indicate if the traction control is activated (that means currently trying to avoid spinning the wheels) ?
The reason I ask is that I recently had a few scares with the back end suddenly breaking loose during acceleration.
It would be...
