ARP's are supposed to be torqued to 85 ft-lbs according to them. I have heard people torquing them up to 110 but I wouldn't go that far. I did mine at 85 with a HKS MHG 1.2mm.
Well I've finally got the balls to start pushing my fresh rebuild today and while cruising home from work today before the afternoon traffic I decided to open her up. I was cruising around 110 and got a little nervous (actually a lot) when I felt the car start to fly (or that's what it felt like...
Jake and Heidi,
Can you post a pic of the cheapo boost leak detector you made up and what ports did you plug off to test.
Thanks in advance....
BTW, good informative thread.
Does anyone know what size/part number the correct RX-7 injectors (550cc)are supposed to be to plug and play on the 7MGTE 87 Supra. I have heard two different versions of this theory and just wanted to resurrect a thread to finally put this to rest.
Our ps systems are a self-bleeding system. If you are turning the wheels lock-to-lock the pump relief will open (you should hear a groaning noise) and that will ensure that no air is in the system.
Looks clean, but I would paint it silver or black to match the rest of your engine bay so it wouldn't be so noticable from Home Depot. As long as it works Right?

My taillight warning sensor seems to be alright, I opened it up and there is nothing visibly burnt or smelling burnt. I changed it out with a known working good one and the light still comes on. All of my...
I've got the exact same thing. Where do you get the harness from, I checked with HKS and can't find one. Here is a link to the PDF file for installing the FCD from HKS:

The 91's have two speakers mounted in the rear size trim on top next to the rear passengers ears. They are 3.25 inches although the mounting holes are 4 inches so I don't know what the actual size is slated at.
Has anybody used 5-1/4 inch speakers in the rear shelves on their Supra. Mine seem to be around 4 or so inches and the guy at the audio store swears that 5-1/4's will fit. Do you have to modify the silly black speaker housings to get them in or is there another way.
I wouldn't spray anything in there.....inside there is a concave mirror with some kind of magical coating on it. The cleaner will mess up that coating and render your afm useless. Don't do it. Check your connector and make sure all of the wires are intact. Otherwise splurge and buy the...
Check out these two links. I just finished my rebuild and did a tutorial on installing the clutch...
