    Welding Aluminum

Thanks for the information everyone. I will be doing all of the welding outside my garage in my driveway so ventilation shouldn't be a problem Mike. Shaeff: The thickest metal i would weld would probably be the intake manifold material. Im not sure how think that stuff is. Someone posted a...

    Welding Aluminum

Nice, those welds look pretty good. I have no problem welding scrap aluminum together for a few days/weeks to get the hang of it. I have MANY things i would like to make from aluminum. Do i need difference regulators for 100% argon as opposed to the blend that i have now? I think im going to...

how do you remove chrome from wheels?

Im interested in this also as i also have chrome cobra wheels that i would like to remove the chrome and paint silver or black. Im thinking grinding/sanding is the best easiest option aside from finding non chrome wheels. Long Island NY is the king of no facilities available. The wheels are...

    Which external wastegate to use?

You could take it off and visually inspect the valve for any problems. Maybe a piece of weld or something came threw the manifold and is holding the valve open, Though i hope not as it may have gone threw the turbine housing. I would definitely remove and inspect to see if anything is visually...

    Sweet drag 7m

Again, Only 20 psi of boost. Its Fast for what it is. When they turn the boost up to 30 psi it should go 9's especially with the nitrous. Looks like they were just making test passes doing some tuning. My car is full weight with a 70mm turbo, 19 psi im guessing will be high 11's. There a second...

    Which external wastegate to use?

Did you install the seat on the flange when you installed the wastegate? It looks like a flange with a ring that protrudes into the wastegave valve.

    HID Help

You need to do some research on this subject. Proper HID bulbs are only in the sizes that Figgie mentioned. Those bulbs only belong in a HID designed projector housing such as the ones found at the link i provided. To make this fit into a supra headlight the projector needs to be mounted...

    Which external wastegate to use?

Well if it is leaking you should be able to feel exhaust escaping out of the wastegate. I said when cold because then you could cap the pipe with your hand without bieng burned, if your careful you could try feeling for airflow after a drive aswell but i assume no liability if you...

    Which external wastegate to use?

How do you know what spring it has? Im running same wastegate and spring boost was 7-8 psi. If you think its leaking, when the cars cold put your hand up to the dump and see if you feel anything coming out. IIRC spring boost on the knock offs is supposed to be 8psi. If you want more boost a...

    Chunks' Build

I did look into them as I have one of there intercoolers. I went with the manifold I went with mostly because Ian (IJ) and many others were using one and making good power. I couldn't really find many people using the cast ones to get feedback on fitment. There are many people using the SSAC...
