What's weird is I drove it all day yesterday and didn't have any problem at all. I did have to buy a new clutch line for the slave cylinder because I broke my stock one finally. Everything seems to be fine with that.
I have the same clutch still, my transmissions first gear went out so I just swapped out the tranny. My clutch has 10k miles on it. When I looked at it and my flywheel they both looked fine. I just cleaned up everything and reinstalled it. I didn't use anything other than brake cleaner on the...
OK guys, I got my new tranny in and it shifts great. I put it and drove it around a little bit about 10 miles in my neighborhood then drove it 40 miles to the drag strip. I decided to make a pass and the first pass was ok, just spun out of the hole (street tires with 35psi) and my car was...
It depends on how much power you are making. That clutch actually doesn't look that bad. I would go for the carbon clutch that they have. I'm now looking for a new clutch disk. But give them a call and ask about warranty and see how are the pressure plates are reworked to hold more power. If...
Well I just picked it up for $108.25 out the door and just cleaned it up, and there is no more oil on that thing hardly now. There wasn't much to begin with, but just wanted to get it cleaned up for an easier install. It is only missing the ABS thing on the side of it, which I'll just swap...
I've heard several things about Royal Purple and Redline. MVP and Powerhouse both use Royal Purple in all of their tranny's. This is coming from my friend Trent (mod on SF) I talk to him daily and he swares by it. I remember him having a bad experience with Redline and as soon as he switched...
I've changed my clutch 3 times, the tranny's not that hard to take out, I just never put it back in with the clutch on the flywheel before. Last time it took me about an hour to take it out. It's just a pain to get it back in with no tranny jack
OK, guys I'm installing a used tranny to replace mine. The problem is the place that I got it from doesn't know how long it has sat for, it's been at least a year. I drained the fluids and there were now metal shards or anything in it and it seems to shift fine. So what should I do before...
These are the drag radials that I have wanted the 275/50/15 on prostars, I just brought up the ET streets because when I called MT to figure out tire pressure they told me not to run the bias ply with radials upfront and since I had a 5spd the bias ply would be better on my rearend. I guess...
That's how I pull the tranny out now, just unbolt it from the block then pull out the fork tilt the motor a little and it comes right out. I guess I'll try it , and if it doesn't work I'll take off the clutch.
I have the 3.73 gears right now and my best time so far is a 12.2 @ 118 in 4th gear with my 5 spd with a 1.82 60'. This was when I had my 60-1CT26 turbo though. I would like to get the 3.91's or the 4.10's, I do drive my car every day for now so I do like my 3.73 gears.
I talked with MT...
The ET street radials are actually drag radials like the BFG, and the Nitt 555r but better.
Look at these and these are what I have:

I have 275/40/17 BFG Gforce Sports right now on my daily wheels...
I can take out my Tranny by unbolting it from the block and removing the fork. Can I just leave the clutch assembly bolted to the flywheel and reinstall the new tranny?
Thanks
Cool, Thanks Bryan,
I'm just going to get some Bilstien shocks and that that will give me what I need I believe. I only have 475rwhp and I have a set of 275/50/15 MT street radials on some weld wheels. They are 26" I was thinking about going to a 27" tall tire when these wear out. Or do...
That's also what Standard Transmission will do as well. I just don't have the $1500 to send my tranny to MC. This is my daily and I can't afford to have it down that long. I'm going to pick up the tranny from the junk yard today and install it and see what happens. The worst thing that can...
The reason why I'm posting this is because my shocks are stock shocks and blown, so I want to get some new ones with some new springs. I know that with the car on stock suspension it will be better with weight transfer and let the rear end squat better, but I just want a good suspension that...
I think this is what I'm going to do. Now I just hope that my clutch is in good shape. I have a southbend clutch stage 4 OFE with about 10k miles on it. I hope it's good. It's held up fine for this whole time.
If I need a new one any one have suggestions on what to get? I have 450rwhp and...
Marlin Crawler wants a lot of money for their rebuild. Standard transmissions here in Ft worth will rebuild it and give me a 12month 12k mile warranty and they are local and for a basic rebuild it is $550 ($200 for labor plus parts). They only work on standard transmissions, hence the name...
Ok, I have found a R154 Tranny that looks to be in pretty good shape at a local junk yard. If I buy it from them it comes with a money back 30 day warranty and I'm getting the tranny for about $150.
The other route is to get mine rebuilt, I went to the shop and they said that it will be...
