I remember there being a dual canister unit (Trust maybe) that was split into two pipes from the 2nd cat back. someone one the boards has one of the 2 original that are known in the US but i fail to remember who... I was actually thinking of doing a 2x2.5 from the cat for increased ground...
For those interested:
Got off the phone w/ JIC, they said 120/ shock for a rebuild pending what is wrong of course. They test them on their shock dyno before opening them up. I talked with their support guy further about set-up and he has quite the list of parameters for setting the suspension...
Alum, got it from HPF. JAWS is sold as balanced the other is not. At least that is what Jeff mentioned when he still worked there (bought through him).
I run a JAWS aluminum one. A little resonation ~2500 rpm decel (mostly 2nd, 3rd gear) and some ringing under hard accel, but the other benifits outweigh the slight noise increase. Even though, if i could do it again, i would have spent the extra 200 for the CF
who cares? All were 11 sec cars (with poor traction). They were not set-up to be drag cars. The standing mile was nuts, that is a true horsepower test (aero becomes real important here)...Get the issue, its well written and the pics are great.
So nobody else have opinions on the bilstiens and stock springs, eh? Ian, i remember you mentioning the springs you were using with your koni's were an off (non-us marketed) brand, what were the details on those (if you don't mind me asking)?

Asterix - i'll look into what i have for spring rates (convert from Kg to lb/in) and look into your suggestion.
What i find to be the biggest issue w/ the JIC's (i'm sure this is part of the compromise with all coilovers) is the lack of shock strock length (in combo with the high spring rates)...
After a few years of rattling my teeth with some JIC FLT-2's, i was looking at going back to a more 'civilized' shock/spring set-up while maintaining some of my bumper-dragging ride height. I know that bilstien's have an adjustable spring mount - has anyone tried the combo?
While i'm not...
Went to Ace hardware and found 10.9 metric cap screws. This was for the JAWS driveshaft (the flange is thicker on this than the stocker, by how much i forget). Hardware shouldn't be too tough to find.
Personal note- I didn't like the redline 75-90 as after a little while the rear started to hum. (I added the friction modifier at the time of the oil change) When i tore the rear appart, the edges of the pinion and ring gear looked a bit more worn - noticeably more than before i changed to...
check out these discussions on efans. The SPAL controller is what i use and wouldn't have it any other way. It is a programable variable speed controller that can control one or two fans.
On SM
on SM again
IHI and I will always have differing opinions on the use of the a/c temp swtich...
sorry for the resucrection, but:
nissota: I haven't gotten around to finishing my review. The SPAL controller still rocks - No overheating issues and that is with an OE replacement rad. Granted, no fan controller will prevent your car from overheating if the rad or fans are inefficient (sp)...
