I think if the valve shims are installed dry, you might get a little clatter until some oil gets under them. I would imagine that the oil will eventually work it's way under some of the shims and kind of cusion them. I dunno, just a thought... Don't flame me if I'm way off course...

If the guy is pretty unreasonable and won't refund your money, then I would file something with paypal (if that's what you used). Paypal isn't the greatest after all and they really won't do much if they can't get the money back from the guy. Then, I would post a bad seller thread on here...

I used them also. I bought them for about $55 each from Jeff Watson. I had to grind off one of the little nipples off the bottoms of them but they worked fine.

Perhaps your ECU needs to relearn. They get really dumb if you leave them unplugged for a while.

I have a similar problem. I am leaning towards the fuel filter since the car sat for about two years and didn't have a drop of gas in it when I put my new engine in it. If that doesn't work out I will investigate boost leaks.
