Or one to few.
I'm shocked at some of the shit-boxes I see, even (especially) at the drags. Grown men who completely mickey mouse everything. Last year at Irwindale raceway I was checking out this nice looking '65 vette, and I look at the dash and it's a rat's nest of multi-colored wires...
I hadn't considered that. Pretty good idea if it would work. Cutting the roof off is a huge task.
My brother and I chopped the top on a '32 5 window coupe when we were kids. It was difficult and time consuming to get it right. I don't see this job as being a whole lot easier, even though I...
Any idea where the roof skin is spot welded? I'm hoping it extends down the a and b pillars a little. I haven't been able to find the roof section on the EPC.
Yes I'm afraid so....
This is the only sure way to get it right. I've weighed just about every option and even spoken with a friend who's a master (and I mean wizard) metal guy. He says welding in the section of the roof that's been cut out for the sunroof and getting it to look flawless is a...
Your motor is what's won your races, not your trans. I'm sure your competent with a stick, but c'mon bro...th350 + trans brake + your set-up = faster e.t. than whatever you're currently clocking.
Be honest...
Let me point you in a little different direction.
I had this exact problem, and it turned out to be worn brake sliders and brake pins, sounded just like you described.
I want no hole in he roof not a bigger one. It'll be worth it when it's done.
I've got the glass roof section out, as well as the outer bezel. The trick seems to be getting this stuff out without doing any damage. So far so good.
Next is the headliner and then the pan that holds...
A year or so ago this is how it went:
Installed newly built motor, went to the local drags and blew the trans.
A couple of weeks later...installed newly built trans, and went back to the local drags...blew up the motor.
(Due to overeagerness and detonation, I hadn't got the tune right.)...
Some of you will recall a thread I started a while ago called "lose the moonroof". http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74179&highlight=lose+moonroof
About half thought I should keep it, a quarter said "It'll never look right", or "not worth it", and a few said do-able, but big...
It sounds to me like you don't have enough refrigerent in it, I don't think the 2oz's of oil would cause it not to be cold if everything else is in working order. I'd also have a look at the dual pressure switch.
That's correct, its a positive connection from the back of the alternator. I don't blame you for not wanting to connect it, nothing wrong with being cautious if your not sure.
Correct again. It's the perfect definition of a "dead short".
Sounds like you're getting it under control.
First off, the white wire is connected to the black B2 wire via a fusible link (the symbol that you didn't know what it meant). The symbol looks like a long streched out S.
Is your battery at full charge?
As I recall (and someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong), the ECM will not let...
AMEN.
Especially if that auto trans is set-up properly.
Would you mind elaborating on your stadalone shift controller?
Are you using paddles?
I want to go standalone on my trans and also would like to adapt some sort of ratchet shifter, but it seems they're all cable operated...
