Installing HKS Recirc BOV

I just received my recirculating kit for my HKS bov. It did not come with the necessary hoses or clamps, so I will be picking them up over lunch. Can anyone tell me where this hose will run to, and exactly what will be plugged, and what will be used when I take my stock bov out and install this HKS recirc bov? Pictures would be a big help!

you need a large vacuum line hooked up to the nipple on the HKS BOV from the intake manifold, just run the line from where the stock one is.

you'll most likely block off the return port on the rubber intake, but if you can, i would recirculate it.

Thanks for the pic! I will definitely be recirculating, I just need to pick up some 1" id hose. AutoZone was out.

just fine a radiator hose thats fits... cause 90% of the stores in my area dont have 1''... or get those universal rad. hoses with the spring inside.

Radiator hose doesn't really flex that well. It seems to kink, which doesn't seem good.

any and every parts store should have the hose you need.... just ask for some heater hose and bring in the bov to make sure it fits

I picked up some radiator hose in 1" ID last night and attempted to make that work. The hose kinks badly when bent, so that didn't work. I ended up having the HKS vent to the atmosphere for now, and will be searching for 1" ID vacuum hose during my lunch break. Hopefully Napa will have some. If not, I'll probably return it to stock within a few days, or maybe over the weekend. The car hasn't died on me or backfired due to the venting, but I don't want to really risk anything on an engine with 160k on the clock.

No luck on the hose. I don't think it would work anyway, as the path it would have to take would have it being very kinked, no matter what type of hose it was. I'll post a pic tonight. Maybe I could have it go from 1" to something smaller, and then route it somewhere else? Ideas?

what intercooler piping is that? looks real good

Try buying a fitting, such as a 90 degree bend fitting with ends on them to clamp the hose on, that should fix your kinks.

I don't know the angle you need, so you judge what type of elbow you need, be it 45 degrees, 90, etc.

Do what I did...bend some hardpipe. It takes some messing with, but once you get the bends right it won't ever collapse and looks good polished.

A vice, the right sized pipe, hose to connect it all up, clamps to hold it in place, and muscle power. Clamp the pipe where it needs a bend, and bend it however much you need it to bend to make it go where it needs to go.

bo guy a 90 degree elbow in a copper fiting, i used it for my vavle cover port to merge a 90 and a straight piece.

just go to the plumbing setion and see what they have, either 45 or 90.

and that picture i found on a supra site... i honestly have no idea. but it looks like its powdercoated in wrinkle black.
