wouldnt there be play in it? cause there was no play whatsoever. i specifically remember wiggling it around to see if it was good and it did not move in/out or back and forth.
lucky for me i actually have an extra one if that is the problem.
I dont know if i am totally overlooking something obvious here.
i noticed my coolant was slowly leaking out of my car. i pinpointed the location to the waterpump and figured the gasket was bad. i pulled it off and put a new gasket in. when i put everything back together its still leaks...
ok i still dont know what that 4th o-ring was used for, but i put it back together and that fixed the leak! so thanks guys.
now my waterpump is leaking:3d_frown:

my o-ring rebuild kit for my injectors came with 4 o-rings. three of them i know where they go but there is one larger thin one that i have no idea where to put it. any ideas?
I remember the tsrm specifally saying do not drop the injectors when removing them. well i was carrying one into my house and it slipped out of my hand from chest height and fell on concrete. so... is it damaged? i have 6 extra ones so if i shoudl replace it its not a big deal..... thanks
OK this might be a really dumb question but i dotn want to screw anything up.
i just removed all my injectors etc and it said to make sure to disconnect the battery while doing this. so i did. but my one window was down. now i have everythign torn apart and it is raining.
is it ok for me...
ok i am going to order parts but i dont want to forget anything. i need:
injector o-rings and gaskets (6)
TB gasket
iscv gasket
and where are these copper crush washers you guys are talking about? i found three copper washers on top of the fuel rail but they look solid, not like crush...
nevermind about that bolt. i jsut got a bigger ratchet:)
so i finally got my fuel rail off and the injectors out.... but two of them left their o-rings in the head and i dont know how to get them out. i thought about prying them out with a screwdriver:aigo: but i didnt want to screw...
im marking everything with painters tape:biglaugh: and numbers so i remember where it all hooks up.
its going pretty good, but im stuck. i cant seem to get the bolt that connects the cold start injector tube to the fuel rail loose. it is super tight.
also, how do i clean the iscv?
alright so i finally got time to get into this....
i pulled the throttle body and the 3000 pipe off. it looks like the 3rd injector from the front is leaking badly around where it enters the motor. so im guessing its just a bad o-ring. i have some extra injectors laying around, could i put...
thats the problem. there is so much fuel i can tell what area it is comign from but not exactly what. if i can get my throttle body off, i think i will be able to get a better look.
