Make sure the light properly grounds flush with the holder when you put it in and the spring clip is tight. Also, make sure that there isn't any rust on the seating surface of the bulb base that would inhibit the contact.

I had trouble with my rewire also. I found that the inner core had melted somewhat after the coax cable touched on the egr pipe. This was causing an intermittent ground.

Wrong !!!!!!!! You WILL NEED the inner metal upper nose support from an 86.5-88 if you want to use pre-89 turn signals. The metal support changed to accomodate the 89+ style signal lights. Trust me.....+1 Please :biglaugh:

I used SEM paint on my interior. The only thing is that it doesn't work so well on the hard plastic parts, but the soft vinyl parts (dash, door panels, armrest, etc...) it works awesome.
