Should I re-use this head? Or get a new one?

Another question is......how does the block look if the corrosion is that bad? Are you sure your block is ok too? It may have survived better due to being cast steel. Have a good close look at it too.

Should I re-use this head? Or get a new one?

That to me looks like galvanic corrosion. Which can be caused by essentially a electrolisis type reaction within you water jacket. Is your rad by any chance touching the frame of your car? For instance not mounted all on it's factory rubber mounts? Course this could also be a advanced case of...

Mechanical Fan on 2jz swapped MKIII

Well here's a pic of that clutch fan from a Nissan SR20 (whatever the hell that is, I have no clue. They just told me to give it a try.) It works really really well. Spins in the correct direction, way quieter then the electrics. But most important of all is, it moves way more air and should...

    Nihiliz's 2JZ/Single Swap!

Still be careful man, that fan is too close to remiain like that. You don't wanna be destroying your rad, the fan, the waterpump and god knows what else. Loving the IC piping though! ;) It could become the newest trend you know, you could be the first ever with a "short shot" IC plumbing setup...

What's the dumbest idea you've ever heard?

Not my idea but one of the worst I have ever personally witnessed..... Went camping, lots of drinking going on and one friend in particular shouldn't drink period because he's dumb enough to being with. Well about halfway through the night we start running out of wood. I simply state "No wood...

    R154 2jzgte

Ya, what he said. Doing a 2jz swap hey? Nice to see more of them coming along, did the swap with the same year and motor/tranny combo myself. Let me know if you need any help. Good luck man, make a build thread.

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

The engine shot is a not ready for prime time shot but you asked for it so there ya go. The molding shot is from the garage at night, I'll shot a better shot up here if I can ever find a sunny day again.

    Nihiliz's 2JZ/Single Swap!

I remember my first successful startup with the 2j, damn man it feels good doesn't it. Congratulations man. Super happy to hear this. Now make a list of must do's and start polishing them off one by one and your there. Won't be long now!

    Nihiliz's 2JZ/Single Swap!

Good stuff, sorta sound like me. Hopefully you don't go through 3 2jz motors now! No but really, it looks like you have done a ton of work dude. Keep at it.

Do people still really use dial up?

So what your really saying here is........you get a crapload of porn no matter what connection your using?

Do people still really use dial up?

My first modem long ago on my commodore 64 was 300 baud, whoa that was slow..........no internet back then either, just Bullitonboards for contact. Ok, ya it sucked. If we were all still stuck with dial up the internet would no longer exist.

Pics of the 2jz's cam baffles, for the curious.

Allen head bolts, as IJ stated, are never stock, someone has been in your baffles, oh, sounds so naughty! LOL.

    Matte colors on supras????

Well there ya go, I learn something new every day, I only could speculate before about difficulty in upkeep.

    Matte colors on supras????

Keep in mind the porsche in that pic is satin, not matte there is a big difference. I've seen a WRX here in town that was done up in some type of really tough black, textured box liner and it looked really cool to be honest. But then again this is a WRX that regularly saw rally racing and rough...

Sieman Deka Injectors 650CC - Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Aaron would be right I'm willing to bet. He knows his stuff in my experience.

Sieman Deka Injectors 650CC - Anyone have any experience with this brand?

I took the old rubber washer off my old injectors and transferred it to the new injectors so that they sealed the same as the old. You cannot run without some type of rubber ring on the new siemens injectors. Or yes, you are right you will get a massive fuel leak without doubt.

Pics of the 2jz's cam baffles, for the curious.

Actually the baffles are held into place but impacting posts that are part of the cam cover itself. The impact spreads the post out and prevents the baffle from moving. I chose to take a dremel and very carefully grind the outside edge of the impacted post off so that they would fit back...

    Flateric's, Rocket Red Road Sled!

Man, an epic day for getting things done to the car. Finally finished my shim adjustments. Got the intake mani with the huge boost leak that is fixed remounted. Made the BOV elbow all shiny. Got my fancy new injector clips finished and hooked up nicely Started running my stainless fuel system...

    Lightened lower control arms

Seems like such a bad plan in so many ways. The amount of weight saved from "swiss-cheesing" things is so small anyways. I had a friend who did this with a mustang over a ton of areas of his car and took days and days doing it. In the end he saved a massive 3 whole pounds, LOL. Just not worth it...

Pics of the 2jz's cam baffles, for the curious.

Since I have a few extra 2JZ's around as some of you may know I thought I would post up some pics for anyone that has ever wondered what the baffles look like on the inside.
