Ya, I have owned my car since new and the HG issue was not yet really known or commonly failing as of just yet. I believe it was 94 for me when I started doing my bigger upgrades and the HG was just on the edge of letting go when we cracked the motor at that time. I had been running a boost...
Those really do not look like the disc's from the front of a MKIV to me........Rears maybe.
That's it then, I gotta dig out a front disc here to know for sure.
Will report back with pics in a bit here. (Provided they are not out in my shed which is buried in a snow drift and un-reachable...
I haven't personally seen mustang brakes, but I doubt they are larger or thicker than the MKIV brakes. Could be wrong of course, but these brakes are "re-donkulously" huge, calipers are big fatties too. Which of course both of which translates to heavy as hell also.
IIRC the braket and hub ring are the biggest concerns. I also believe that the inside of the fronts around the hub has to be spun on a lathe and made .5mm larger. It's been a very long time though so don't do it without verifying that figure.
I am so incredible jealous of all you Downunder people that have a chance to ride this thing.
HOLY crap this looks like fun! 5 minutes long! Longest "alpine" slide in the world.
AWSOME!

Snow is news to you guys!?
Wow I am so jealous of where you people must be living. Snow, lots of it and sub -30c temps here since October are generally the normal.
My Supra could leave the garage right now if it wanted to. Due to the huge snow drift blocking the door and the fact I would get...
I explored this option at one time and still have the set of four here. Adapters are needed. But unless you happen to have a set for some reason or another the cost of getting them is SCARY!
They are some really big damn brakes though........I mean really BIG!
Was nice to meet you and chat yesterday! Hope that TB works out for ya, let me know and stop by anytime.
I'm so jealous that you can drive your car at this time of year.
Just be sure not to over-extend yourself man. Remember it's just a car and can be put on hold until things come together better for ya.
Hell, it took me almost 3 years to go from my dead 7M to a 2jz that run properly.
Good luck with it, I would love to help you out, but I'm not exactly close...
It could be worse.......I went through 2 2JZ's in a month due to someone else's brilliant "mods" that I unknowingly transferred from motor 1 to motor 2. But this third motor is a gem....Thanks of course to our own Mr. Jeff Lange.
And before that more than a few 7m's.
Granted I have owned my...
Well, an update for the CNC project is due I think!
Since I can't sleep and find myself up at freaking 4:30AM for some reason....but I am off topic.
Here's a few pics on the almost current state of the machine.
This is the fifth revision of my DIY machine. This time around I am not...
Bilstein are in fact adjustable as well. Not nearly to the same degree as "true" coilovers, but they are adjustable for ride height. Yes, as Poodles says correct valving is essential to giving you "correct" performance. Yes, they are also a lifetime warrenty for as long as you own them.
I own a...
I'm also of the opinion that the coming model change and the 2jz were too close for a world wide release of a car that to be honest did not ever sell in huge scale numbers relative to your corvette's etc.
7M BTW was still superior in many ways. Produced much more torque, pound for pound from a...
I wonder if any type of alcohol has a higher or lesser potential to make you feel "hungover". I never will drink "Tokillya" ever again due to a "incident" when younger. But I wonder if the same situation with the same amounts of (insert other "type" here) would have had me swearing off it for...
Correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't the plug in the diff for drain magnetic from the factory? Mine was but may not have been OEM I just don't know. But it was very jelly like fluffy too.
