ok thanks..ill get new copper washers from the dealer this week.
One other question....I removed the 2 12mm bolts on the intermediate shaft (not sure if both need to be removed)....one down where it connects into the rack and the other up closer to the fire wall. how do you free the...
I am now removing the two lines from the rack.....they also have the same copper gasket piece preventing me from turning the bolts unless i apply a lot of force and snap the copper gasket.....is there something I am missing here as far as unbolting these banjo fittings? These copper gaskets get...
I believe the bolt i backed out was suppose to stay with the pump....there is even a rubber seal on the end of the bolt for inside the pump.
That was all seized together....even though i have the new line i think i may have to recycle the bolt on the end in the pic
I got the high pressure hose off.....one question I have is that I noticed the stock line has a little rubber seal where it connects to the pump...the driftmotion line just has 2 copper washers....is that fine or do I need to reuse the rubber seal
I am finally working on the install and can not get the high pressure line loose. I have the bolt broke loose inside the ps pump but the bolt, copper washer, banjo fitting and other copper washer are all stuck together. So when i turn the bolt it is turning the entire line and the metal...
I have an 89 supra turbo with PPS. I will be installing a new rack in a week or so and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice. I will be using the TSRM and other info I have found on this forum. I ordered my rack from Carsteering.com based on a recommendation from this forum and the...
Looks like starter to the battery.....the end running to the starter has a loop encased with a black plastic cap....the plastic cap will break off as it gets brittle which looks like the end that is not circled in your pic
Right now in the for sale thread someone has them.......http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?226546-Parting-out-Red-1989-Targa-Turbo-model-shell-a-few-extra-parts-GA
You can get away with a thermostat update without draining the coolant but a little will spill out so just hose it off. Get a OEM quality thermostat and not one from pepboys. Also, when you replace the thermostat it is directional even though it fits both ways so just make a mental note while...
I wonder if your thermostat was stuck closed.... They are relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. But yea, I would burp it 1st. There are instructions on this forum if you do a search.
Someone correct me if im wrong but aren't the JDM front door inserts an option. I believe they will fit the stock door and allow you to use 6 1/2" speakers upfront?
I have used Alpines and Infinities upfront and at the end of the day 4" speakers are still 4" speakers.
My valve seals were leaking bad after my head was resurfaced and I replaced them with ones driftmotion sells and have had no problems since.
Before the replacement I was getting a huge puff of smoke on start up and that is now gone.

I currently have an 89 turbo with full 3 inch exhaust and intake. I need new plugs and wanted to switch to coppers. In the future I plan on upping the boost to 10psi. What should my gap be for ~7 - 10 psi on the copper autolites?
What about the head lights on Duane's 1K HP supra........JW speaker is the brand headlight. They are led and apparently work awesome. You'd have to google the website. Here's the link to his video....if you haven't seen this....do yourself a favor.

Apologies if I missed it, but what will the lip be made of......the same black plastic as the stock lip? or will it need to be painted? Also, if my memory serves me correctly there was a long piece of metal for the stock lip that was used to bolt it on with.....is this necessary for the shine...
I am not sure if the plug is white from the picture but that looks similar to the progressive power steering plug if your car has that option......it should plug in down near where the steering column connects to the rack and pinion at the nuckle
