    MAF Translator Gen 2

There is an LCD display and a 4 button keypad. It has a serial port and will work with tunerpro like the Pro. The cable is not included like it is with the Pro. You can take a peek at the user manual here. http://www.fullthrottletech.com/showthread.php?t=1849 The installation is...

    MAF Translator Gen 2

Hey, Just wanted to stop in and subscribe to this thread. For those who have not seen it, the GEN-II is like a mini MAFT Pro. It doesn't do the speed density or boost control, but most of the other features are there. You can run almost any MAF sensor, and run with the wideband...

Whats the most power you could make on pump?

to make 500 on pump gas you just build a 750hp car..... :icon_bigg Methanol injection is the way to go on this. I use denatured alky on my GN because it is easier to buy it at Home Depot. Meth is much cheaper generally. The Alky Control kit is working well for Malloynx. Bob

    Where's the MAF PRO Buzz

Sounds good, we will keep the big thread the focal point of the technical discussion. I am looking for someone (locally I hope) to help me test the timing control.... WRT the part throttle tune, it is true that any piggyback can be tuned well or tuned poorly. I am hard at work on some...

    Where's the MAF PRO Buzz

Perhaps we should plan a Q&A session with Jones, and me. I just returned from the Buick nationals in Bowling Green, we had a tech session that filled a decent sized room at the Holiday Inn. I and Mike L. were on the panel, along with Harry from Precision Turbo, Julio from Alky Control...

    maftpro is working

1JZ should be possible, need to dig into it. We are not doing direct injector over-ride, perhaps we should..... You guys are doing fine. Bob

    maftpro is working

The idea is to know the temperature of the air entering the cylinder. If the Pro had coolant temp data we could model the air temp as a function of coolant temp, air temp, RPM, airflow, temps at startup, change in temps since startup, etc....... This gets wildly complex and different for every...

    maftpro is working

yes, unless you took the bulb out or unhooked the wire...... :) Bob

    maftpro is working

Putting the IAT in the pipe just before the throttlebody has been the best place. Another note is the vacuum tap for the MAP sensor. Generally you want it near the throttlebody, the idea is to not pick up pulses from one cylinder, but the smoothest signal from the plenum. I look at getting...

    Alcohol Injection and MAFT

:biggrinki News guys: for those not wanting to go for the MAFT Pro and everything it has, we are now going to make its little brother, the MAFT Gen-II. Pics are here:Clicky It has no speed density, and no boost control. It does have wideband tracking, a window switch output, and...

    maftpro is working

Ok, with V out1 mode = 0 and the V out 1 setpoint = 2.500 then you should have 2.5 volts on the brown wire (10 pin harness) all the time which feeds the ECU. V out 2 setpoint should be 3.6 volts for the HAC sensor. Are you setting stored codes, or are you seeing the Check Engine light...

    maftpro is working

Close is fine. What you don't want is to be at 90 degrees to this or at part throttle the air will be shooting off the top of the blade right at the MAP port. Bob

    maftpro is working

Put the IAT in the intercooler pipe, near the BOV is fine. The neck of the intake is ok too. Any of those are probably fine for the MAP. You want to watch for "Throttle Steering", i.e turbulence from the throttle blade messing with the MAP signal. If you stay on the side like that, parallel...

    maftpro is working

That sounds better. Its somewhat hard to tell from the pics. You want a good clean vacuum signal for your fuel pressure regulator and the MAP sensor. Bob
