Maybe he could get the leprechaun thats hiding in his engine bay to use his little hands and fix the gasket.
You're in for a good time, I'll tell you that now.
Assuming R154

Clutch fork!!!!!
doo doo doo doo!!!
**more trumpet sounds**
There is a small pin you have to remove to get the clutch fork out. Do it now.
Umm... He'll ship it back to you once he is done with it. :icon_bigg
Edit:
PS. SCE is based out of Lancaster CA, so the closer you are to there, the better.
We need to find a block and head to send to SCE.
If any generous supra junkies with a spare lying around feel like being awsome, Ryan of SCE has offered to pay shipping to get his hands on that block for the design of the gasket.
Let me know and we'll work it out with Ryan to get the R&D...
Even still, if this gasket provided an alternate option to the regular MLS gaskets you wouldn't have to go to the lengths required in terms of prep work.
Ryan, the owner of SCE, claims the gasket will seal to the mating surface without machining to the level required for a MLS gasket..it just...
Sounds like theres a leprechaun in your engine bay tapping stuff when your car is idling.
Seriously.
There was one in mine, I'm serious.
He then proceeded to completely chew one of my rod bearings and spray it all over my oil pan.
Bastard leprechaun.
On a more...
We won;t know they can make a successful gasket for the 7m until someone has officially tried the finished product.
However, there are 3 or 4 people in my town currently running these gaskets on their motors and they seem to work great! SCE currently makes one of these gaskets for the 2jz...
The reason for less prep is simple.
This is a copper gasket. Not multi layer steel. Copper is much more ductile and forms to the not-quite-as-smooth-but-still-smooth surface.(<---correct me if I'm wrong on that one) Not only that but this gasket has a self contained o-ring, which goes a...
I'll wait on the reply from Aaron at driftmotion, and if he turns up nothing then I'll look into having a different block and head shipped to them.
There appears to be enough support behind a head gasket like the one in the topic for me to pursue getting these manufactured!
I just pm'd Aaron. This company is based out of Lancaster in Northern LA County.
So a socal member would be perfect to send a block in, and I know we don't lack members in SoCal.
The drawback:
Design time was roughly 2 months I believe.
But if this can get pushed through I wont bother buying a MHG for the rebuilding I'm doing now and I'll just use a stocker HG again.
Ryan (the owner of SCE) seemed to stand firmly behind his product and was VERY willing to...
Exactly.
And after hearing how willing this company is to go through with this, I think this gasket would become the premiere choice over the other manufacturers since no lapping would have to be performed in order to seal the gasket properly.
Just got off the phone with SCE.
This gasket does not require you to o-ring the block.
The gaskets built in o-ring has just been patented by SCE...and is mainly the reason that they can stand up to the kind of punishment thrown at them.
Well 20 years is better than never!
A head gasket where you have the ability to pop off the head, clean it up and drop the gasket on....and then run massive boost.
Pricing was 200~ for stock thickness (1.37mm) and around 300 for a 2mm thickness. These prices are without the 25% discount...
I have just been on the phone with a company called SCE Gaskets. After some research, these guys put out a head gasket capable of reliably taking 30+ PSI with an 80 RA on the mating surfaces.
The owner, who I have just spoken to, is 100% willing to develop an ICS Titan Self Sealing gasket...
That said,
If you're considering using a composite HG and NOT going with ARP hardware, we will laugh when your head gasket blows up. Toyota head bolts stretch very easily in comparison to ARP Bolts/Studs.
Its an easy choice to make, your bottom end will be fine with OEM hardware. If...
