Yes side feed for the stock fuel rail and use some petrolatum on the o rings so they slide in easier and make sure there aren't any o rings that came off the tips of the stock injectors and are in the manifold or any in the rail itself.
When I installed my hks fcd and played with the settings I was able to boost only around 6 psi because it was so bogged down. I turned it way down and the car wouldn't run at all. I didn't have my wideband yet so don't know what the AFR's were.
I had to bring mine down with an MBC to 12ish so it wouldn't run lean (bad break up) from 16 psi. When I installed my FCD I was able to only boost below wastegate cause less fuel, my bad.
I have been checking coolant and oil. The coolant has no loss and oil is down over a quart in a week where before this problem surfaced the oil had hardly any loss between changes. It also has that burned oil smell.
Your probably running lean like I was after installing my 3" exhaust. I had to turn down my MBC to get it to run under boost as it shot up to quick for the stock injectors to program the fuel. If you have a silencer for your exhaust try installing it which takes a few seconds and see if it will...
Rebuilt 1JZ CT12A's. I have a CT26 57 trim thats still in the box from my failed 7M rebuild but don't have the DM adapter or that would probably be the cheapest alternative.
Well this is just great, my car has been smoking on and off for a couple of months only when idling, then with a little revving it clears up. I had the IC pipe off today to change the alternator and the pipe is nice and oily inside. I had the stock pea shooters rebuilt almost two years ago with...
You are asking if you can still use the hyd waterpump and not use the fan with it? No you can not. If you run the fan with no hyd fluid it will burn the bearings in the pump very quickly, besides the fact of running with no fan isn't the way to go. Just go with the 2J pump and 7M fan with LS400...
Sorry, forgot to mention its a JZA70 1J. The IC piping is 2.5 with a 24x12x3 Intercooler from Dm and the y pipe is stock.
Gas mileage is also up almost 2 mpg.
Hi,
The first run is with a stock exhaust with a hollowed out cat at 14 psi. As you can see the twins got all choked up and the HP dropped when it got to full boost and lost allmost 60 HP. I could really feel the drop as it stopped pulling on the road. AFR's were allways below 11 at full boost...
I'm running this setup. I have the koyo, 7m fan and had the shroud but had to remove it due to a security ramp being raised on me which caused the motor to be raised and the fan hit the shroud and broke it. Before it was fine.
The issues I had with this setup are:
1. The koyo overflow tube...
Pull the shift lever and make sure the bushing is installed on the bottom of it and the lever fits into a hat bushing, If any of those are worn and it causes a sloppy fit it will have a tendency to pop out in first gear.
