Dunno bout your gauge problem. But to do the tune-up, you have to take off the TB. Undo the support attached to the head, and take out the 4 12mm bolts, and pull it up word. You shouldnt have to disconnect any hoses but I'm not sure. I did when I did mine.

I think its 5 full heat cycles. I could be wrong tho idk

So I take it if you are doing an NA-T conversion, it would be easiest to unplug it, pull it w/ the engine, and swap harness's plug by plug and then label all of them accordingly so its a piece of cake when replugging it all back in after a rebuild?

It only does it when warm, meaning its probably not the throttle cable. Most likely its your ISC that is malfunctioning when it gets hot. Electronics do that alot.
