rims look nice, still not as good as the old zigens though. tires are wrong size. Why spend all that money to have tiny but more contact patch than STOCK rubber?
I don't get tire stretching...
ok dyno vids are all fine and dandy but this thread has two major problems
1) no dyno graph
2) no PROPER driving video after the car's been tuned. I want to hear boost on the street!
get on it!
fantastic work! thanks so much for the explanation.
I'm slowly becoming an engineering and we've been experimenting with foam to make carbon fiber parts. the rope is a fantastic idea!
helicoiling first would probably be a good idea. if you tap it out for a larger bolt, you'll have to replace them all, or it will wreck the balance of the flywheel assembly.
school is going well. I can't wait for the semester to be over though. the workload wears you down after awhile...and I...
Hey carl! how is calgary treating you?
I'd buy a tap and run it through the hole to clean it up. If the bolt holds when torqued down, I wouldn't worry about it.
the damage was likely done before you even knew there was a bhg. did you change the oil a couple times after repairing the BHG? the water in the oil likely damaged the the bearings at that time, it just took this long to manifest itself
I bed mine in "by the book" and still had problems. I installed new rotors, pads, calipers, toyota clips...lubricated and torqued properly.
- brought up to temp by several slow stops (but without actually stopping)
- did about 7 hard 70km/h to 5km/h stops
-drove for 15 minutes without touching...
same thing happened to me man, I feel your pain.
the bank tells me it was most likely a card reader at a place I made a purchase ( I use my card very little). I noticed and odd $20 charge on my credit card when I was routinley checking my banking online.I knew it was out of place since I hadn't...
since we're on the subject of lubricating the pin/bore.... do you think an NA would see problems with lack of lubrication on said items with a crank scraper installed, since there would be no oil squirters to spray directly?
