they're probably grade 8. but don't risk it. this is just as critical as putting a "lowes" bolts as your rod end bolts because they should be "good enough". get some from the dealer.

I use the Amsoil MTG 75W-90 in my w58 for the last 4+ years for 50,000km in my mk2. Shifts like butter! ...and it didn't before the fluid change.
