I found this plug, while searching. If this is what your thinking, My plug is on the passengers side of the motor when this pic shows this plug on the driver side
Well it looks good in pictures. The motor is no longer a turd. I will soon get the car to that status after a rebuild of the suspension brakes and drivetrain. cause it pretty much needs it all. I dont even want to drive it the brakes and suspension are scary.

When I got the car it wasnt plugged into anything and I can't find anywhere for it to plug in. Its hanging down behind the PS pump and infront of the turbo. Coming off the engine harness.

Yea made that mistake with the last car, and did not have the timing cover decked. I learned my lesson on that one.
Ive heard you definatly do not do that, because with a solid mounted transmission and engine, any chassis flex will end up in something broken, typically the transmission or bellhousing.
theres a company local thats offering remanufacted head with 7mge cams for $500. what you guys think about that. Doesnt say anything about requiring a core.
