if you want an easy way to check if the freon is low without gauges, find the low pressure switch on one of the lines, unplug it, put a jumper across it and if the compressor clutch engages, then you know that your freon is low or the low pressure switch is bad. This will also show you that the...
you can see alot of trash in the bearing from the specs of crap embedded in it. Other than that, the wear is a little more on the side, Might check your thrust bearing clearances
Got the PS hose changed. Also got the lotek springs and installed them
The front is a little lower than I would like. Trying to figure out some way to put a spacer between the spring and strut mount.
Also found this neat cup holder/storage tray. Its from a nissan maxima and is a single din...
Thanks. Im working my ass off on it trying to get it back to nice shape.
Worked all day on her today and kicked my ass. I spent hours swapping the PS hose and the new hose leaked. Not happy and its not easy to change that thing anyways. And I get to do it again. Then decided to swap out my...
yea the BIC is outrageously expensive but to make the ebay one (which looks identical to the one you got but mine was ddp not widemouth) I would have had to cut it off about 12" down from the flange and completely remake it, just wasnt worth it to me to spend all that time on it and still risk...
I had the same issue with the ebay ddp, couldnt get the nuts started cause mine was hitting the body with the flex section. I ended up returning it and buying a BIC widemouth and it fit perfect like expected.
Insert a 0.028 in. (0.70mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and stop lever. Rotate the TPS counter-clockwise and slowly back clockwise until the Ohmmeter just looses continuity, (infinite ohms).
There should be continuity with a 0.020 in. (0.50mm) feeler gauge inserted in the stop...
Im thinking about buying a set of ebay seat covers for my 92. It has blue interior and im thinking about having them making the seats black with blue sticking and replacing the door panel inserts the sides of the rear seats with black to match the rest with the blue/black combo. (I dont know how...
well car is still running good. Got some new tires installed in the front 245/40/17s now just need to find some 275-295/40/17s for the rear.
We had some 75+ degree weather for a couple days so I got to roll with the targa off. Love it but the car feels like a flimsy convertable with it off...
well Ive tried everything so far, The aircraft paint stripper didnt even touch it, it just pulled the color out of it. I ended up scraping it all off and now most of my defroster probably dont work
They took .016" off the block and .008 off the head. They were pretty bad.
Ive got a heat gun and a steamer, nothing is touching it. Its delaminated so the first layer is still stuck on the glass. I used our heated power washer with 0 degree turbo nozzle and it didnt even touch it. Im thinking...
OK so engine is in and running great. I am amazed at how smooth it runs, I think it idles smoother than my lexus. Power is decent still at stock boost levels. Put about 150 miles on it so far and the starter killed over. So I changed out the starter and did my first oil change. Also trying to...
I got an 87 tsi conquest. The exhaust manifold gasket was blown and the head gasket was blown (bought it this way as a project) Well pulled the head and figured out the number 4 piston is traveling farther than the wear in the cylinder so the bearing is spun or bad or something, guess we couldnt...
knock sensor broke will not cause a knock. It will set a CEL. Knocking is a sign there is something else wrong with the engine. The knock sensors just detect spark knock and the ECM will make adjustments to prevent the engine from coming apart. Spark knock usually only happens under heavy loads...
I need some front brake rotors for the supra and instead of ordering a cheap replacement from the auto store I was wondering if anyone has tried these slotted zinc plated rotors on ebay?
