    1jz oil pan bolt size

The bottom metal pan has 6mm bolts, while the mid pan has a ton of 8mm bolts and a few that are 10mm around the back of the block.

It hits number 5 too, but that threaded boss can be ground away since it was for the throttle.

jdmfreak's A NEW BEGINNING (BUILD THREAD)

Look in the valley where plug number 4 is. In the valley there are two areas that are vertical that are threaded for the valve cover bolt. Put your coil in there and youll see where it hits, or spin it so the wiring faces aft and to the drivers side and youll see how it hits the cross over...

Yes there steel heres a quick drawing I came up with. Coil#4 will be an issue. I can leave it square but the valve cover boss will need to be ground on a little, or I can rotate the coil, it will sit a little funky but you can grind the head a little by the hex bolt and level it out.

Can you weld a bolt yourself to the hex plugs in the center of the head? Give me a few, I have the cutout handy and should have a pic soon.

I actually ran plug wires in the beginning, and modded the covers to keep them under the coil cover but it proved to be a PITA.

Does the 7m CAS have a vr sensor inside? Did you make sure you got + and - wired correctly? And I have this setup. I can cad up and cut a coil holder if you would like. I have an NA head and there is no extra holes unless you use the valve cover bolts. So my idea is to place a 14mm...

    morganson's COP S-Type setup

I don't have a file to cut from yet. As soon as I get one I can create a tool path and cut a few out.

ADD W1 oil catch can PICS

^ agreed. I used them now. Dont use the ones you might find that are gold colored. There copper coated aluminum scrubbers and they tend to freak you out when you have an elevated copper content in your UOA!

    Megasquirt thread: Megasquirt and You

Small MS3 update. Sounds like the latest beta firmware releases are about to become a stable release.. There will be one more preAlpha and it will contain a coil dwell control based on load. I'm pretty excited for that.

Yes, that cable will work. Make sure to only ground the one end that closest to MS to sensor ground. What battery you plan on running?
