True that..the money i quoted does not even count maintenence...just aftermarket mods whether it be performance/looks/sound system.
But seriously, who is satisfied with driving a stock supra????
Ha....that makes me feel a little better.
As far as my plans are another 8k will finish it off to my liking.....probably spaced out thru the next 3 years if I keep it that long.
I have had my 92t for about 6 years now.
I aproxx. dropped 12k into it. Its a freakin addiction! Thats more then the freakin car is worth.
As much as I love the mk3 supra Im going to start saving up for a 93-95 rx7 wit the ls1 swap.
Anyone else crazy like me????
yup.. I totally agree
I drove it easy to avoid being loud. It does draw too much attention for my taste.
Doesnt help with limo tints either.
I was under the impression before I bought it that it would only make noise at high rpm's. Once it hits 3k+ it was making noise.
I swapped for...
I believe you would be running rich due to the metered air escaping. One of the causes of black smoke is running too rich. Normally you can notice this at WOT because our cars normally run on the rich side.
If your talking about black smoke at idle then it might be from a different dilemma.
Thats pretty sweet. The gasket problems are due to low torque specifications. A fresh FelPro gasket with arp bolts torqued properly should last at moderately elevated boost pressures. ( 12-14 psi)
Im refering to CT-26 stock or upgraded.
For the people who have installed oem style composite head gaskets with arp headbolts> > what boost pressure do you run on a normal basis?
Trying to get an estimate on how durable a composite head gasket is when torqued down properly givin that the engine and cooling system are in good...
I have heard that it is normal for the spec 2 to make a continuous clicking while operating.
Do all electronic boost controllers make this clicking noise?
Its a little annoying while driving with the windows up.
Any leak in the intake stream will cause irratic idle or the car to die.
In your case a huge leak hence the car dieing.
Go for 2.5 or 2.75 inch piping with an aftermarket intercooler.
Go for the Driftmotion intercooler.
Put one on the other week with new hardpipes. What a difference vs the stock ic with plastic/rubber piping at 10psi.
Much better throttle responce and power.
Also makes the turbo and bov more audible.
