Okay well got my stuff today, took about 2 hours start to finish including cleanup. I used a ratchet with an extender to a angle piece to the socket. Wasn't too hard but I couldn't get one back on 3 in a row i just dropped down into the dark abyss. Now my clutch pedal no longer has a crunch and...
Thanks for the information. I was using an open 10mm on the bleed valve that's why I'm replacing it, why not it's old and only 15$ anyways. It all should be here Tuesday. My clutch pedal has always sucked but I kind of liked not having to push it to the floor to disengage it lol, helped my laziness.
Moving to kentucky. I mean like freeze 12 and all that other stuff. Well that's why I meant to have ti vacuum tested to see how big it really is. I guess I'll wait and see if I can deal with the heat, I'm going to have to do the conversion at some point!
Is it a bad idea to have the system checked for major leaks, and then have it charged with an r12 alternative? I do have a 2nd a/c compressor lol.. I feel like it'd be best to save money for a full rebuild new condensor with r134a sometime. Mine as well restore that while I'm going through the...
LOL. Amazon prime has Aisin master and slave. What luck! Lol. 55$ for both. DM says their master cylinder is AISIN as well so the stock was made by aisin. Hope the master isn't too much of a pain in the ass to replace.
Okay. Was worth a shot I guess other people have said they've tried it with success. If I'm going to have to buy 100$+ worth of dynamat or equivalent just to do the trunk I mine as well go to the source of the problem, sound proofing is just covering it up. Suppose I should just spend 50-100 to...
I think there's just something obviously wrong with my master cylinder now. I hear a kind of crack noise every time I push the clutch in coming from the master, and the slave's bleed knob won't even come off. 9mm is too small 10mm strips it. I'm thinking about getting a master from Aisin? I...
I'm wondering what you guys do to make your clutch pedal feel good again? Mine has a super short engage right off the floor and half of it is freeplay. The clutch is new. Sometimes when I do a hard engage or ride the clutch on a heavy acceleration all my fluid just spills out. I think it's the...
Well I used peel and seal. 12 sqft of it only covered the left side of the trunk including the spare wheel area. Not sure if I really noticed anything. I just need to find the right resonator or do a branch resonator somehow. :/ What a pain.
Well it makes sense that the engine starts outflowing the turbo so the pressure is reduced but the air flow ios the same. I think that spike is just due a bit of a sticky waste gate, i mean it's 25 years old lol. My sunpro boost gauge sits at like -2psi I think the zero is off but it's cheap for...
Have you had any experience with fatmat? Looks like some company took roofing insulation and made it more for cars. People are complaining about poor thermal insulation but I don 't really care about that. I can get dynamat 4 sqft or 10sqft of fatmat for the same price.... Also does the...
Ah mine just has a 3" DPP on it I forgot to mention, replaces the elbow. It had the same drone when on the NA too, the car isn't loud at all. I guess it wouldn' thurt much to try putting a bunch of sound deadening and all that in the trunk. It kind of bothers me not much at all but makes my...
Well a sound wave cancelling resonator would do that but I've seen like 90% of mufflers/resonators are just glass packing material I didn't think that would be tunable to the sound. I also thought of just putting sound insulation on the bottom of the car above the exhaust or maybe seeing if I...
I was actually going to test that, take my subwoofer out and see if somehow it was resonating through that. What did you dynamat the whole car or just the trunk area?
Hey I've dealt with this issue for awhile I thought the turbo would completely fix it it only helped a bit. Current my exhaust is 3" all the way but right before the bumper it's like 2.75 or something for the bend. I have a ebay resonator and a summit racing full sized muffler...
Thanks for the information I really don't' know much about a/c systems at all... Well at least working on them. I'll do some research, have a link of a good article?
For doing a conversion from r12 to r134a with a parallel flow, assuming my system leaked just because of a bad seal or oring...
Well it obviously leaked out so I would have to get it tested to possibly find where the leak is for one before I do anything. I don't want to just swap over to r134a without a parallel flow. But thanks for the info I guess I should first try to see if I can get it leak tested and recharged with...
