Wish I had 15psi at idle. Reading the stock gauge I've only got like 8Psi.
Knew I forgot something when putting her together. :nono: Forgot to shave the oil pump.
:nono:
I'm having the same problem and have found nothing yet!! >.<
Weather: 30~60F Been cloudy latly. Just paranoia I guess. I am using a little bit of oil though.
As far as the Temperature worry goes.
I'm running a stock WaterPump, 50/50 mixture water and antifreeze. Stock clutch Fan, and whenever the other two electric fans come on. It reads just below halfway on the gauge. And I just drove through Black Friday traffic yesterday so that was a...
:biglaugh: Ah, good stuff.
Yeah, if you got the motor torn apart, take a look at the sticky in this section of CURING 7M OILING PROBLEMS and use the search bar for Rebuilding tips, it should cover the MHG picking out.
And for Goodness Sake and for everybody else's get the Cylinder...
Two things I noticed.
1) No view of the exhaust side of the Turbo.
2) Talk to BigAaron at Driftmotion about upgrading your ct26 to a 57trim. It's good up to 16 or 17psi if I remember right. Just look under his vendor thread and the trubo rebuild is a Sticky there. Lots of people have...
Okay, sounds like it just happened ONCE right? If you don't get any codes out of her I would suggest doing some harsh testing on her. :evil2: Basically duplicate what you did last night, a hard stop in D. If it does it again.... kills the motor as it stops or whatnot, then try one more...
Gah!!!! >.< I gotta shoot the vids and 'After' Photos again. I shot them in TOO HIGH of resolution and the site wont upload it, or photobucket for that matter.
I'll get the vid up soon atleast.

Why not just spend the money, get a MHG.. multi-layer head gasket... whatever. The good stuff that everyone runs, and ARP headstuds and just forget about it. :biglaugh:
THe gauge cluster was a PITA to unplug, but I got it.
Oh yeah, the paint is not forgiving on clothes?? It's worse on the skin and fingernails man!! I'll be posting up some before and after pics and I'll get a vid up on the test run when I make sure everythings working.

Basically... Unhook the hoses from the TB. Insert a 3/8" hose connecter into both lines. Tighten one clamp on each hose. And you're done.
Any ?'s ? Just ask.

Just a quick question... where is the 7th Piston on a L6???
Anyway, the only way I know of springs breaking is if you put cams in the motor on worn springs, or if you get used springs out of a different motor with a different cam. Basically metal fatigue.
Did you do any valve work...
Yeah most likely the valve cover gaskets.
Rarly... could be the PVC hose connectors to the valve covers themselves. :dunno:
Just food for thought.

Yeah, have you washed your motor recently? Replaced the wires? Plugs? Mods that may cause this?
Mine sounds rough like a dead cylinder, but I got my timing retarded like hell to keep me outta the throttle until a new knock sensor comes in.

It may just be me, but the intercooler doesn't look right. Unless you have a front feed intake. upgrading the stock setup though, the inlet and outlet of the intercooler is on the same side right?
