My kickdown seems to be really random about when it wants to come on. Sometimes I'll put my foot flat and nothing will happen and other times it'll work and kickdown a gear. Have looked at the cable but I have no idea how to adjust it?

No idea, I haven't replaced them myself but might have to look into it.

Will try and find another one to check. But I think he did check inside it, the black box has been sealed up with sealant.

Alright had the AFM checked by a mechanic, including the circuits inside it and he couldn't find anything. Haven't put it back on but assume I'll still get the same problem. What else can I check?

I can't even use mine they are so bright! Is there anyway to turn down the brightness? They're seriously brighter than my high beams. And yea, need to give the seats a good clean definitely.

I have a JDM Supra with the digital dash and although it's nice, I would much rather have a normal dash. 3 things on it don't work and the speed constantly changing gets pretty annoying (instead of a needle moving slightly)

Apparently it is recirculated, but it sounds like I'm getting surge back. Will do those checks. Also has started to back fire when letting off throttle now.

What are the chances of rain causing it? Was raining for the first time today since I got the Supra back when all this started happening, but when driving it tonight and there was no rain it was fine?

Will do but don't have the tools here. Safe to drive a a distance of say 10, 20kms as is?

Cleared the codes, went for a 5 minute drive, was all good until 3/4 the way into the drive when it started doing it again, but didn't die this time. Same thing, came off med-hard throttle and would lose power and engine check light would come on, then would go away after a few seconds...

Don't worry Habanero, most people here will try and argue when I tell them I have a FACTORY 86.5 7mgte. US/Canadian cars aren't the only ones in the world :)

Will have to double check, but am pretty sure my VIN is MA70 and is factory turbo. Might be because it's a JDM 86.5 (yes they came out factory 7mgte in 86)

Got pretty much everything sorted. Took the radiator cap off a few times and the radiator pipes seem to be fine now. Got a new washer for the oil pan bung. Cleaned the contacts under the window switch and that solved it. Car seems much faster now and haven't found any other problems...

UPDATE: Got it back today. You're right GrimJack, it did sort itself out, hasn't died again since. Couple of other minor problems I've found though. Passenger window doesn't go up. Oil leaking from oil bung. Digital Dash is really messed up, oil pressure gauge not working, speedo way out...
