    Yokohama AVS VS 5 Wheels

Offset is typically measured in millimeters (mm), good offset for 8.5 and 9.5 is +35 and +40 respectively. 19" is tall for the mkiii, but should fit with a very low profile tire 30-35 aspect ratio (depending on how wide of a tire you plan on going with). Some good info...

OMGWTF Oil filter blew up, and killed my turbo/motor

Sorry about your engine/turbo (it was time to upgrade anyway, right?), when you said that it wasn't making the "bad noise" the next day are you still driving it? Canton Mecca 8 micron filter here:

    Lightweight 17"s

I'll second Adam's "Edmonton Potholes are the worst in the Canada!" I was up there this last May and holy shit! I've driven better roads in Africa! I was in a rental car and was still afraid of hitting some of them! Where's all that oil money going? Back on topic I've got some Roh Drift-R...

ddp or or hks dp with lipp elbow.

Ditch the HKS, if you go to a bigger turbo in the future you will more than likely need a custom DP. The HKS is no better than some of the Ebay crap available for cheap, sure it says HKS on it (actually it probably doesn't--atleast my old HKS DP didn't), but you are only paying for the name...

ddp or or hks dp with lipp elbow.

BOSS stage 5 dual ball bearing 58 trim with the big shaft option (polished, of course) it should support ~500 at the wheels with my mods.

ddp or or hks dp with lipp elbow.

I'm running the LIPP elbow and a DEI wrapped Random Tech 3" DP, I'm also using the BOSS DBB series turbo. Easy install and removal. Stay away from the HKS, it necks down before the flex section so it's not a full 3" pipe. Years ago it was the only one out there, now there are way better choices.

    What's your current supra project?

Tune and dyno in the next few weeks, install nylon bushings after that. See my sig for lots of pretty pictures.

    R.I.P.

The weakest part of any car, be it a fully built race car or a broke geo metro, is always the driver! The driver chooses to drive with worn brakes, the driver chooses to speed into a corner with worn brakes, the driver listens to the passenger because he thinks he might get some later (hopefully...

    NA Power Steering Res.

These are pics of a used one I bought off of the "bay" and then ran it through my parts washer. It was a real pain to get the decades of crap out of the res, I ended up forcing rolled up paper towel into each opening to get the last little bits. It took me a good couple hour in the tank (with...

    Oil cooler/relocator kit: Questions

Turbo87, I bought most of the lines and cooler from Summit Racing (http://www.summitracing.com/), and the other stuff from Canton Mecca. I found the Accusump unit itself on Ebay for cheaper than CM's website price, but it was close (I just copied their price for comparison). Keep in mind...

    Oil cooler/relocator kit: Questions

This is the set up I did back in August, it is a completely new full flow oil system. I went with an N/A stud, Canton remote filter adapter, remote filter mount (perma cool:PRM-1791) w/ Canton Mecca 6.25 spin on filter (8 micron filtration), 180deg B&M thermostat (BMM-70259) , earls 13"x7"...

I just relocated to the Carson/Tahoe area and am looking for a good tuner/shop to help finish up my project. Any recommendations? Thanks, Matt

    wheels

Rims I've got for sale ROH Drift-R 17x8" with 235/45 Mich Pilots, they have a 2" lip and come with tires. I'd let these go for $800 + shipping, they have less than 3000 miles on them, not a scratch on the rims. Matt

    side trim colours

BINGO! You Colorado boys are sure smart!!:biglaugh: :biglaugh: I bought a near complete set off of the "bay" the only pieces I actually painted were the very fronts with the turns in them. I used some home depot white plastic (for the flex agents) spray paint. It looks OK, but up close there...

    side trim colours

I just bought a set of the white ones, but you need a paint that has flex agents mixed in which allows you to handle the trim while you install them without cracking the new paint. Any good body shop should be able to do them for you, I would avoid the rattle-can DIY if you can. Matt

    SBC 406 in a Supra ? ?

I love the sound of my BOV, but I love the wine of a Pete Jackson gear drive even more . . . hmmm . . . I wonder if they make a horn that sounds like a gear drive! Go for it!!
