I had mine apprasied about 3 years ago, it came back at 12,400USD. I tried to give it to my insurance and they wouldn't accept it and wanted there company to appraise it so I took it in to them and 2 weeks later they said they would only cover it to the blue book 3,500USD.
So now AAA insurance...
Can you heat treat your current pressure plate for extra holding ability?
How much extra force are you needing and what is your current clutch rated for and how much force is your 7mgte creating?
Thats the great thing about silv, dosen't matter what shape your supras in as long as you show up. As long as you can get it there, there is plenty of extra coolent and tools to go around.
I got my supra at 17 as well, within 6 months of having my license and supra I tried to take a 90 degree turn at 60mph and flew into a ditch with 5 people stuffed in the car. Almost killed us all. I've been driving my supra for 13 years now and still could use improvement, I participate in drag...
I don't think Castrol was the problem either I am sure it is a machine shop error. I won't know on mine till I get enough time to pull it again. Good luck with yours, I don't think that it being a tooth off would kill it unless you where doing WOT pulls, even then you would run like crap enough...
"Its not fast and now I'm furious."
Thanks for all the info, I want the probes, Bigaaron is worth the money, I just came across these and my cheap side came out.
I came across a set of NPR pistons and want to know if any one else has had any knowlege or experiance with them. I couldn't find much about them or there rep on google. The guy selling wants 100 for all six .20 over and balanced with the gram weight wrote on them. They look good but at that...
I just had the exact same thing happen to me but on a wrx motor. machine shop put it together to the longblock and I finished it, they used assembly lube and I added castrol gtx just like they said. 270 miles later I'm sitting on the side of the freeway with rod knock, no warrenty, and now I...
Look on the subframe above the differential, see if there are any cracks. I had the same problem and it turned out my subframe had snapped in to two pieces being held together by the diff mounts. Its hard to see with out close inspection and the wheels will cock back and forth like that. Good luck
I agree with checking compression, that couldn't hurt. In your mod list you have:
"Oil Catch can pipped properly into the valve covers using a NA cross-over pipe"
Dosen't the N/A crossover pipe eleminate the valve cover to TB hose? I had the same pressure buildup problems with this N/A pipe...
I always find it easier to attach it before if I have the intake manifold on the head, you can always put it through the firewall after. If you are piecing it togeather once you have the longblock in then you could go either way.
I got my USB to work with AEM, but then I get memory dump and fatal errors when connected sometimes. Never had a problem with the older stuff. Do you suggest any specific laptop? ie: Dell, hp, or mac?
I want to share cal files for comparison and start-up for those interested. It might help those who are trying to set theirs up.
Here is my cal file. It is set up for 550cc denso(2ohm), Gm 3bar, Gm AIT. 7m-gte
The nut probably dosen't do the adjusting, look at the actuator arm on the valve side there should be a threaded end with a fitting attaching it to the valve and it should be held on by a C-clip, you have to remove that C-clip and take the fitting and spin it in on the threaded arm to shorten...

It is not that the actuator is necessarly stuck open but more that the spring in the actuator dosent have enough pressure to hold it shut as you start to build boost. Do you have an internal wastegate or an external wastegate. I am assuming that you have an internal wastegate because you said...
