My SSQ is also making a noise that is similar to surge but it sure is the BOV. You really really sure it's the
Anyway, do you have the new type SSQ without the ajustment screw?
If not, ajust (loosen) the screw some.
Mr boostin,
Can you please explain why my HKS SSQV is fully closed at idle ?
Maybe it's broken or something.
To keep ontopic, the 1.000.000 question is now: What BOV does the TS have? ;)
edit:
That's exactly what's happening when you close the throttle. Positive pressure in the intake...
Can you test a wastegate by using an air compressor maybe ?
otherwise put it on a dyno somewhere and see what your engine does under load?
Just to rule out your boost controller, did you try to run the wastegate just on spring pressure ?
lol we're going offtopic here.
Ah well the problem is already solved :)
Engine bay doesn't look stock i know.
But it's just some bpu with 550's/lexafm and a cooleeze piping set. that's about it. Looks a lot more impressive than it actually is. Painting everything can be really rewarding as...
it says 33 in the tsrm. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=A&P=8. with 6 pounds of boost and 1:1 rise it'll go to around 39 psi obviously
Anyway let's try to keep this ontopic and search these forums before you state things as a fact, just as IJ told you in another...
fuel pressure at stock is around 32 psi, not 40.
I have it at 40 but that's with 550cc/lexafm and 14 psi.
hoewever I agree that this sounds more like an igintion problem than a fuel problem.
