Good work!
As for the gasket, I went through several stock (and imitation stock) gaskets. They all blew the minute the car fired up. There are holes in te back of the TB and the air pressure pushed the gasket into one of the holes creating a nice vacuum leak.
I ended up cutting a gasket from...
I have a zeitronix zt2 kit which comes with a bosch wideband sensor.
logging with the laptop (not on the device itself) is perfect. the screen you can buy with it is fairly slow but actually i think that's a good thing and makes readings less nervous. it also has the option of displaying your Vf...
yes check the coil pack and replace the plugs and just to be sure don't get the stock replacements but buy colder plugs. They work better than stockers when you have raised boost.
part number for ngk: 3330 BCPR7ES
This may sound dumb but did you try exchanging the battery?
friend of mine also had unexplainable problems and changed/swapped out almost every electronic piece of hardware he could find including the ecu, afm and cps.
In the end the battery proved to be the problem.
I'm with kotu100.
You are not correct. I (as a lot of people) have an HKS SSQ bov and it is CLOSED under vacuum. A lot of other BOV's are too.
So stop saying that there is an air leak at the BOV because you can't know if that is true for sure
Furthermore, in the OP GSGS clearly states that...
Correct.
However make sure you have had the 89+ stock mounts before.
My friend has some sort of "crossover" model. it's 89+, has all the 89+ features like newer steeringwheel, spoiler and front bumper, the post 89 grey plugs on the wiring harness BUT he has pre-89 engine mounts.
that's...
The MKIV mounts will fit a post facelift supra with a 7M-GTE no problems.
There is one little ajustment needed to make them fit but if they come already fitted to your engine you're good to go.
Colorcoding of the wiring is a little different between the two.
I did it the other way around and put a '92 engine harness in my '89 turbo. I resoldered almost all the grey plugs from my 89 on to the 92 harness.
The thing I found is that toyota changed the color coding a bit.
I'll try to...
Hey Sebastiaan.
Looks like you're able to build and finish your supra after all. Seeing the amount of work still to be done, you're almost half way there! :D
Good luck and I'm looking forward to seeing it IRL sometime when it's finished.
well I can't help you right now as i'm leaving for a small holiday right now.
but just register at www.shoarmateam.nl/forum and ask/look for belgian people. TTE is a member, he has 3 supras. also tomtoyo is a member with multiple supras I believe. Just introduce yourself and ask for parts...
there's a guy near you with three supras or something. I know multiple people in belgium with some MKIII supras. It shouldn't be hard to source another fusebox.
And make sure to start counting cylinders from the timing belt to the rear and not from the back to the front. I came across a strange configuration some time ago with someone who had the wires wrong AND the timing 180 degrees off. I wondered why it even started in the first place...
You made...
Maybe some more info about your setup first?
550's are useless without a lexus afm or a FCD.
You can only finetune the S-AFC using a wideband meter. If you do not have one, go get one.
