I guess for future reference to anyone that searches it, this was a vacuum leak after the throttle body. It was about a 1 inch gap missing out of the gasket between the upper and lower intake plenums. The code 24 and 32 have something to do with MAFT-pro.
I recently bought another supra and found out that some valve stem seals were leaking. I swapped out the head with another head that I have and now I get a code 24 and 32. Everything was put back how it was except for the head.
The car has a built block, (obviously not that great of a job on...
I have a set of BC springs(just single springs) and a set of ferrea springs(dual). I am going to be using 1mm oversize and 264 BC cams. I was wondering what everyones thoughts are on which ones I should use. I dont plan on seeing anything over 600hp and dont plan on revving anything over 8k. So...
I have some pictures of how I did mine in my pathetic build thread but it seems like yours are larger than mine and you might possibly be beyond doing what I did if you have already started cutting the black piece. Anyways here is the link to it, maybe it will help you out a little...
The only white/red stripe wires that I can find on the ECU wiring diagrams go from your number 3 and 4 injectors to your ecu and then one from the TPS to the ECU. Neither of which are spiced into a yellow wire. It could also be something that runs through you engine harness that doesn't...
Soildering should be fine, some people say dont because of vibration but I soildered a lot of wires on my car and have never had any issues. Me personally though, I wouldn't use electrical tape for insulating. Heat shrink if you can.
Well when you find your multimeter or get a new one, I would first check between the two wires I mentioned above and if there is a short between them pull a plug to one of your taillights. Check the resistance again if the short went away then the problem is in that housing that you pulled the...
Did you check the efi fuse yet? The power that runs through the contacts of the efi main relay come directly from the efi fuse then run directly through the circuit opening relay to the fuel pump relay. The batt+ that goes to your ecu is in parallel with the main efi relay, meaning directly...
Well the gauges getting brighter was just kind of wishful thinking on my part, it could be that they wouldnt get that brighter because of where they are in the system and where the short is. What about your rear side marker lights (with bypass)? With the system as normal, I am thinking that the...
Not really sure on the swap wiring or anything about your ecu. But the one thing I am looking at is your batt input to it comes directly from the "efi 15amp fuse" in the fuse box next to the battery, I would check that one first. And I wouldnt just look at it, actually check resistance to make...
Had another look at the EWD this morning and I really cant think of any reason that it would be acting like that other than incorrect wiring, and you can clearly see in the picture that you did wire it correctly. If the bypass that you linked in the original post works for everyone with an 89+...
Sorry for some reason when I read the thread I was thinking that you plugged the failure box back in. I don't know why I thought that. The way you have it set up should be working as far as I can tell. That is the same way that I wired mine, minus the jumpers, although I haven't tested mine yet...
Not really sure what you did with the wiring but the wires you have taped together need to go together, although not through the connector or failure box. Here is a paint drawing, maybe it will help you out.
You actually need to cut the wires and put them together, red and blue to green and...
