This is the ring set that I found when I looked for them a while back. I havent ordered them yet or used them though. I came about this part number by finding some .020 oversize JE pistons for the 7mgte and then looking at the part number of...
Well first off to get the head studs out, have you tried putting two nuts on a stud tighten them togeather and then try to remove the bottom nut? I would personally go with a MHG, but you will need to follow the manufactures recommendation on the RA(smoothness) that the head and block need to...
Yeah, I understand that it happens only on start up. To clarify what I am asking. Does it put out more smoke when you start it after its been sitting for a longer than it does when you start it after its been sitting for a shorter period of time?
Well blue smoke basically looks like white smoke with a slight blue tint to it. Seeing that it happens all the time when you start it up I would lean towards the valve stem seals. Does the plume seem to be larger the longer you let the car sit and smaller the shorter amount of time it sits?
First off what color is it? White=coolant, Blue=oil, Black=rich. Blue smoke can sometimes be hard to identify as blue. It could be any number of things from your turbo to a BHG. It just depends the fact that it is happening on start up usually means valve stem seals, also this could mean rings...
I personally like a smaller diameter wheel than stock. I have always put smaller wheels in my vehicles, I am guessing that is why I like the feel of a smaller wheel over stock, because I am used to it now.
And the look is a nice touch.
This is the one I just put in my car. If you get something this shallow, meaning without the deep dish, make sure you get about a 2-3 inch spacer for the hub.
Keep in mind the ISCV is essentially a motor that spins a piece in and out to adjust the idle. Most likely when you are oscillating at idle your motor is fully open and allowing max air in. This is why it seemed like a large vaccum leak behind the throttle body. So either the ISCV isn't doing...
Yeah, if it is intermentent like you explained it then it is not what mine was. Mine was all the time. Yours definately seems to be the ISCV. There is a procedure for checking the ISCV in the TSRM.

I would start...
I had this issue a little while back idle between 1-2k constantly going up and then down like the ecu is constantly trying to recorrect for something that it isnt seeing, although mine wasn't intermentent. I dont really know what you mean by that, like this is happening at random times or the...
Also the throttle cable configuration was a little different being that it came from the other side of the firewall. Along without having an egr the vaccum system was layed out a little different due to that. There was only one vaccum nipple coming off of the top of the throttlebody.
This one actually just looks silver and not grey. The paint looks pretty good actually. The main thing that worries me is how the top of the strut towers look a little rusty. You might want to take a good look underneath the car and make sure the whole underpan isn't rusted up. I would suggest...
Ok maybe that is what I heard about. I guess I would just need to check out the current part number and compare it to what I have? If they match then I have the updated ones and if they dont then I probably have the old ones that do interfere. Thanks, Craig
