well it will be fun to make... you obviously arent taking it too seriously but i wish you luck and hope to see something cool at the end. if you need help at all with editing or advice on making it more refined i'd be glad to help.
"that off"???
40 horsepower is well within the margin of error of any dyno man.
but i wouldnt use one except for fun.. it only works on perfectly level ground. It's built off a postal-workers accelerometer
for a car soldering is fine, with a heat shrink tube ideally. but its much easier to use a crimp.... i really don't understand why anybody has anything against crimping
well.. ui also read first hand.. and the guy with the T/A who beat the civic said he decided to sell it back to the kid cause he felt bad, but made it worth the win... so unless he was trying to cover up the lies for the producers i dunno... i'm pretty sure they legally do sign over the pinks.
haha true enough!! but it's all talk until you have a donated 500+hp 7m on a pallet in your driveway.. but i agree, a shop should step up and do this.. if they got enough recognition it could really boost aftermarket parts demand
a) yes you do really race for pinks but most/all people decide to sell the car back to the person. I'm pretty sure if you wanted to be a dick you could keep it... but after all that i'm pretty syure you'd be willign to sell it back for a grand or two.
b) im not nay saying the mkiii at all. it...
so basically... your climate is nearly the same as ours? we just have alot more precipitation (im talking about lower mainland BC right now)
snow here is as rare as snow in southern california. below zero celsius (32F) is pretty rare in the winter and when it happens we're all bitching like...
wow you guys are all dreaming more than i was. wasting money donating parts for an mkiii is really pointless.. it's just not the best platform if you dont have tens of thousands of dollars.
let me repeat this in another way:
No car that will agree to race on that show would lose to an mkiii...
on my other car, a bad oxygen sensor caused my idle to bee to high at cold because it was misreading the oxygen content/temperature of the engine... so it couldnt compensate for it being cold... if you had a boost/vacum leak along with that, it may drop the idle back to where it should be when...
i would guess a combination of problems. if you had a bad oxygen sensor it could cause your engine to idle high when cold. if you also had a boost leak, the idle would be too low. that would cause this exact phenomenon
i wonder if in japan its a zedex or a zee ex,,
im with jeff.. i say 300zedex but also 1j zee
oh and on a sidenote... the pronounciation "zee" was developed to enhance the rhyming of the latter portion of the alphabet song.
that might be it. theres actually 10 bolts to remove not 8 around the bellhousing. once you got those ten bolts and all the pressure plate bolts just pry, shake rattle and pull
woah.. so./.. my idea of taking an mkii gets no good response, but a fat ass mkiii is somehow a better choice??? i would absolutely .love to see ANY supra (pre-mk4) on that show. an mkii with a built 7m would have a very good chance of taking the win... as long as you keep quiet during...
