Have gotten carpets (~$150), vinyl e-brake and shifter cover from Ebay... All seem to be fine. If the leather seat covers (replacements, not just slip ons) are from the same place that has done our group buys, I've installed he MKIV ones and they seem to be pretty good quality.
Don't need the front clip, unless the engine is using the hydaulic water pump... Then you'd need the fan ECU and rek\laive wiring. Other than that, the entire clip does not offer much more, unless it's a Supra. Then you would have some other parts/wiring that you can use, sell, or whatever...
Have had the targa off for about 3 straight weeks! LOVE IT!. If it does start to warm up a bit, I turn on the A/C, or if it's too cold in an evening, I'll use some heat. Still bad@$$ driving with it off.
There are dozens of options available to keep your A/C. Not sure why you need to...
It looks like the oil seal gets "tapped" in like many of the other car's oil seals. Just have to use a piece of pipe or equal-sized-object (to the seal) to push the seal in, as you tap with a rubber mallet. In the TRSM it's on page FA-13 (step 2).
Did you download a TRSM yet, or can you get...
Close to giving up = ALOT. Gave up and came back to it = ALOT.
Nothing will test your determination and wallet, like a Supra. But, once it's goin' good, ain't nuthin' else like it.
Keep the faith. Most issues are within a few hours of fixin.... troubleshooting/diagnosis is the...
When my 2JZ failed-swap had a similar issue, I asked the same thing... that cooler can oxidize or open up in a way that lets them mix. I cracked the block/water jacket on my 2J and had to rebuild (using an N/A block now). Dunno what the options are for an aftermarket cooler, but good catch...
Seems to be covered well in the TRSM, but hoping someone may have a link to some write-ups I can follow along with (w/tips & tricks). Been searching, but haven't found any.
TIA!
Python 990... Installed myself, (without remote start enabled). Allowed me to really tuck/hide things. Has modules/accessories available for almost anything... auto-windows up/down, tilt sensor, motion sensor, etc. And, the remote beeps to let U know when/if something's been triggered.
I recently had the input shaft bearing go bad and replaced the tranny w/a spare.
Things were goin' okay, until recent weeks. Seems tougher and tougher to get into 1st gear. Bad #1 syncro?
So, am gonna rebuild the old, spare, R154 that may have only had a bad front bearing...
...I'd suggest you get a newer desingend condensor over the Winter and refill/recharge in the Spring. I had the other 3 conversions done professionally and only had nominal performance. I had a thread w/the results of the one I did myself... I'll see if I can find it.
...couple of suggestions.... 7oz of mineral oil sounds kinda "too much," but I can't remember how much I used for the 2J compressor I am using (I have a 2J swap). I replaced my condensor with a "parallel flow" designed one and feel that this is a must for our MKIIIs... I've had 3 other MKIIIs...
You can order a caliper rebuild kit from most auto parts stores for about $10. I'd get one on hand, just in case. The TRSM covers the assembly/disassembly pretty good.
Good luck.
Page AC-4 of the TRSM shows the CIG and GAUGE fuses in the A/C system circuit. GAUGE is a 7.5A in the # 1 spot and CIG is at #4 (Driver's side kick panel).
I replaced the PS pump in mine yesterday and fixed my issue (which may have been the flow control valve inside the pump). Dunno to what depth the TRSM goes into opening/fixing the rack, but thought you already replaced it? By control valve, do you mean the Progressive Power steering solenoid?
Many of the signals are the same, but the connectors are different depending on model year/trim. I have soldered in the right connection before. Just gotta find a car at the junkyard and cut the right connector off with enough wire to extend/solder. It's a PITA, but easier than...
There is something in the TRSM PS troubleshooting section about the cause of less power assist towards one side/or the other. Just glanced at it when I went to replace my PS pump today.
Take a look in the TRSM.
Good luck!
Maybe the CIG fuse... I think There is a fuse you should check for, which seems unrelated (sorry, can't remember which). Look at the a/C troubleshooting guide and/or A/C wiring/circuit area in the TRSM.
