When I had rod knock, it was the oil pump that failed. Keeping extra oil in the crank case can cause oil airiation if it gets sloshed into the crank and create RK also.
Yeah if u over do it and dont clean it up and set the boots right it will allow dirt in and reduce the life of the joint. Glad to hear she is running right. Are you gonna make it to the Austin drive in November? I'd realy like to see this beast.:naughty:
Yeah, wasn't impressed with the new show. On the other hand, I want the knight rider GPS that has the original KITT to tell you were to go. FTW:biglaugh: I have no need for GPS but it just kick ass.
all that says is about a 20% blend which we do not use. The higher the blend the more the ecu logic is out of tune which causes the engine to lean out and thus raise combustion temps and creating higher NoX.
I think two cats is the answer, we get MK3 supras in the shop from time to time not to mention the 3 owned buy employees and the turbo ones with two cats always have the best numbers, even my 90 with original stock cats and original engine with 217xxx miles on it passed with flying colors, I bet...
I wonder if going back to two cats will improve this.
edit:higher percentage of ethonal is because it burns at a lower temp so it lowers the combustion temp which lowers NOX.
