-Air conditioning because without it i wouldn't have a job.
-My kids, my shitty days are always made brighter by them.
-my health
-my new house with the en-suite, i love being able to take a dump without the kids banging the door down telling me they are busting and also being able to just sit...
Great work Seth, love the HQ pics. Just a question though as i've been staring at your manifold for the last half hour.It looks to me like turbo 2 will become superheated after a few runs or am i thinking of it all wrong?
Amazing work either way and will this become a product people can buy from...
lol @ bear in a car at the circus.
The SR being superior in every way is a pretty big claim. Seen a few that didn't hold much power at all with stock internals, i do agree it is a great little motor though with plenty of available bolt on's.
Did you make this on your stock twins? he was talking stock engine not stock internals.
I used to have 1jz supra as well as a 7m and i liked both but they were two very different motors and both had there strong points.
stock for stock the 7m had the edge off the line and the 1j had the top end...
Maybe because you shop somewhere other than e-bay?

It's been said a million times, the biggest problem with Supras are there owners. I've noticed when the mark 4's first came out and only people with money...
Thanks MDC, i have gathered they must be after emailing them for further information regarding there authenticity and not hearing anything back.
I emailed Holset at there email addy for reporting fake sellers and as yet have not had a reply, would've liked to have them at least acknowledge my...
Just curious as to why you feel the 7m is a thirsty engine. For every 20 litres of fuel my turbo-a would do 175-180 klms. With the same engine in a Toyota cressida mx83 with auto it would average nearly identical figures. That's pretty good mileage to me.
That's mostly highway driving for me as...
That's a reason that's been explained many times over, it's just a cost effective way to get more displacement while keeping the 1jz manifolds or intakes they may have already spent big dollars on.
Just go a 2jz, you'll find most people that have built a 7m properly and had success with it would next time just buy a 2j if they had the choice again just due to newer design and improved overall engine.
Thanks Les.! I have the original turbo-a engine under wraps and will start getting bits machined soon. I won't be doing a mark 3 but will likely do a road registered off road toyota styleside ute/pickup. The 7m works very well in the thick sand or mud.
So after more research i found the Holset counterfeit page which is a good read for the less knowledgeable(cough cough myself)
http://www.myholsetturbo.com/counterfeiting.html
After a comparison with the pictures supplied by the site i'm still not convinced either way...
That's the answer i was looking for.! I thought that Holset may have have used cheaper labour to manufacture there product as i can't understand how the company claims to be a genuine Holset product. I will send off an email to Holset with that link.
Thank you MDC.

I've found a company that claims to be a manufacturer of Holset and can sell a one of turbo for a trial basis for roughly $270.If you buy in more than certain amounts of units the price drops dramatically.
Will do some further investigating and post up any replies i hear from the company.
If...
Hi guys, after researching Holsets for a little while now i decided to try and source a HX40 for a future build. After asking at local truck wreckers and finding out how much they wanted i decided to see how much for a new unit and came across these...
This talk about 300hp is ludicrous. I met a guy that has the genuine mark 2 race car from Bathurst 1000 Australia and its n/a. It was built by a extremely well funded race team with everything custom. The engine can only last a couple of thousand klms between builds and you know how much power it...
