The idea of a remote filter is to give you better access as well as the flow increase, so adding a sandwich adapter still makes changing the filter a PITA.
The turbo kind of blocks off easy access.
I recently met a guy that was a salesman for this product and he was quite excited over how amazing it was telling all sorts of stories of endurance tests and the like so i asked him for the brochure on its specs and chatted some before partings ways.
I'm pretty much skeptical about anything...
What you need is the "Air Flow Meter" off a lexus v8 and you need some 550cc injectors, See a reputable site like Driftmotion, they have all you need in one place.
To tune this new combination it's nice to use a basic Apexi safc on a dyno that is well respected or with a wideband to keep your...
Id kill for a Hollinger rd6-s, if they made them quiet of course. Is this what they use in the v8 Supercars? If so they scream like a banshee possessed, ear plugs are a must.lol.
If i was starting afresh i'd be getting a 2j no doubt about it. They are newer in design and it's getting harder to find good parts for the 7m such as new heads. Most of the old ones are buggered from BHG's and years of abuse.
The machining costs on a 7m if you chose to build it properly will...
I think you asked the wrong question. The question should have been, How much h.p have people made on a stock ct26 with what mods.?
You get actual figures then instead of random guessing.
You have many options but that's all really personal choice, if you have already spent on a 7m you may as well stay with it,
yes a properly built 7m would be great but you have to spend a few dollars.
The 1jz is a debate i don't want to get into, some people pull themselves over them...
Just started adding my large speco oil cooler this morning in front of the intercooler though, just behind the A duct. I see what you mean about mounting in series.
Would prefer not to block the intercooler at all but the size of the oil cooler stops me from doing that. Played around with the...
That's very interesting. Today i'll switch to a 80 degree high flow and just leave that in there, if i ever have any dramas with higher than normal temps in the heat of our summer i'll increase the oil cooler size instead.
That's cool, not looking for trouble.! I love my motor so if there is any dramas that may be caused by my apparent ignorance than i'll definately change my ways,
i only went for a cooler thermostat to help out on the hot summer days when my thongs were melting just walking on the bitumen. My...
If your referring to my comment my afrs reach there normal target almost as early in summer with the high flow as the stocko. My ecu is a turbo-a so maybe its setup is a little different to a standard ecu.I have checked the vf and its right in the middle, No need for the above criticism, you just...
