So i tried to read your mods and from what i understand (correct me if i'm wrong) you have bolted a heap of stuff on a stock block? What are you expecting to make on stock internals because the numbers yours is making are pretty good for what it is.
The turbo-a i bought had a lot of expensive...
Here's the part no. for the recommended high flow thermostat from Tridon, i had very few of this brand come back for replacements.

I change for winter as the factory rated thermostat opens later letting my car warm up quicker, simple really. It cuts down the amount of time i spend in the shed warming it up.
Just because Stant is a known brand doesn't mean they always work, i had many returned to me that wouldn't open when...
Didn't want to comment on this thread earlier for fear of my own stupidity, but I've used a high flow thermostat 77 degrees for 3 years now in the summer( no i'm not copying Ian, lol) and switch to the factory rated temp for winter.
It makes a noticeable difference in under bonnet temps and on...
Sounds great, have you started a build thread? It's a great way to share your ideas and also the older wiser guys can give input if they see an area in your build which may need attention and many times stop people from making silly mistakes. Have fun!
Used to sell the gates hose when i ran a small parts shop years ago and never had a single complaint so personally i would use it, if it was black of course.:naughty:
Ian , i was told by a radiator fabricator that the only time the cooling system sees any kinda high pressure is the sudden burst when the thermostat opens, Is this true?
At the time we discussing plastic end tanks becoming brittle although i'm sure the pressure varies widely according to...
Hi mate and welcome to the best forum in the world.! I too have a turbo-a and live 2 hours from you (Kingaroy) ,so one day we'll have to catch up and get some photos of the two cars side by side. Hope your build goes well for you, any engine questions ask for IJ, he seriously knows his shit.!
My previous motor ran one and the previous owner made 366rwhp on a stock motor with just a 60 trim and bigger injectors. He upgraded to a 6860 stinger and didn't make any more hp so if your mods are simple they seem to be a good little fuel tuner.
That's my favorite shape rex!, i love it also that you own a rex and actually use it for what it was made for, well done and post up some action shots next time....
That was so funny, i've never seen anyone do that to a cop before. So next time a cop overtakes me and speeds off i'll get out my vid cam and pursue him....hmmmm maybe not.
Hahaha i love that bus, that's nuts. For some reason v8 owners get really sore after losing to a bug, my old bug i built many years ago was light enough for me to lift the front end off the ground and with a couple of mates we could lift the rear off the ground as well. one day i'll build...
....Your penis is so large you don't need a turbo, and whenever you get overtaken by a turbo car, you smile knowing that when he stops to boast you'll merely have to flop out your junk in front of him and his girlfriend to watch him crawl away, minus the girl of course.!:naughty:
