it's a tool of sorts meant for lighting fires....it's basically a hand operated "thing" that uses compression to ignite a tinder such as "char cloth"....it works like a diesel motor compressing air which in turn heats the air to really effing hot temps....so basically it's a cylinder with a...
I meant pics of the internals not the case.....
Yes transmissions are different but the consept is the same IMHO...rebuilding a diff isn't hard and sure as heck isn't rocket science...don't take what I say the wrong way though...you gotta know what your doing but it's still...
would you mind posting pics of a $400 mkiii diff rebuild next to a $1500 diff rebuild so people know what the are getting?....I personally would like to see the difference in parts.
This is some boring crap!!!! Please don't post videos that aren't interesting at all...seriously this is so boring and pointless it's actually enough to piss someone off!!!
obviously his car runs just fine orelse he would be asking motor rebuild questions....he wants to rebuild the diff which if fails he still won't get to far....every problem is just as important as the other when it comes to driveline and motors....everything depends on everything....so what if...
what does that have to do with anything??
Supras are old cars...usually with high miles....diffs take a hell of alot abuse even in a stock car...90 percent of us could use a rebuilt diff...the gears maybe just fine...but I bet it needs shims!
because a 2pc is "better"...but our transmissions aren't that far out of line from the diff so a 1pc works fine...and most trucks with really long driveshafts need a 2pc for obvious reasons...our driveshafts are short and stout so a single works and has been proven to work...so it's your call...
it's called a "center support bearing" and toyota still had them!!! They are expensive as hell but yes they still have them.
That is why I went with a shaftmasters 1pc....it's been a great part so far and isn't noisy at all and doest vibrate.
poodles...pay attention before you post..
i never said put anything on the friction surface of the "pad"........i saaaaaaaaaaid was...."i cleaned the rotors off with alcohol"....as the brembos come with some nasty tacky grease on them to stop them from rusting.....which i liked the idea of...
oh they will smoke and burn like a mother fucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but its a good thing....just DO NOT STOP MOVEING OR GO UNDER 10 MPH OR YOU RISK BONDING THE PADS TO THE ROTOR AND OR WARPING THE ROTORS
