Is it possible to convert my88 mk3 coupe to a sports roof ?

550whp, daily-driven, it's hot in a land down under, and overkill is underrated? :) I've always considered IJ's build as the right way to "throw an LS into the engine bay", and I think that definitely made it different.

Fix it up, put in the LS3 and a sunroof.

Must be that "keep it in the brand" crap.

What's The Dumbest Thing A Car Manufacture Has Done?

The wonders that carbon particles do in your combustion chamber is the same as what they do in engines without an EGR system...the exhaust came from somewhere you know...

Has anyone stroked their MKIII 2JZ swap?

Of all the engines I've thought of swapping in, a stroked 2jz completely slipped my mind. Oh man, I REALLY wanna do this now. I'd get like 9.5ish compression ratio pistons, give it as much boost as possible from a little single turbo, and DD it :D

Is it possible to convert my88 mk3 coupe to a sports roof ?

I wouldn't convert it to a sport roof. I know there's over 100lbs of reinforcement on the targa model, and I still wouldn't be able to enjoy all that torque. Um, more power, more of it sooner, all from an engine that weighs less? YOU should sell your mkiii, so you can stop giving the rest of...

I completely agree with you, but... that is also my opinion.

A turbo can help you there :) The greater difference in pressure between the two sides of the turbine (due to the lower atmosphere pressure) would make the turbo more effecient and help make up the lost hp.

I've had enough of my bagless Hoover. You have to go outside (and maybe even wear a breathing mask) to empty it, and by the time you have to replace the filters you would've (probably) spent less on bags. All for crappy suction. You get what you pay for... So I've replaced it, with this pair...

thinking about getting a boost controller

I have an Apexi AVC-R, yea mine doesn't display PSI either, it's in kg/cm^2. Didn't bother me any, I set it up, put it in the glove box, and I haven't seen it since (I daily-drive my Supra). I love it!

    1UZFE Turbo Questions

Thanks Chambers and ZFast300Z for answering my questions. Is there any all-aluminium V8's that are smaller (externally) than an LS1? And what would be the cost of acquiring/maintaining/buying aftermarket parts for them? A Vortec 5300 is the same size as an LS1, right?

Question about using a n/a intake for a turbo engine.

Reminds me of when my turbo supra started giving me good gas mileage. I fixed an exhaust leak, and the good MPG's went away, lol. But yea, it was the EGR cooler gasket, so I figured the pre-O2-sensor leak made it run lean.
